Personal update:
I've quietly but officially accepted an offer to join the @fireship_dev team full time! 🔥
A big switch to "behind the scenes" from what I am used to do.
I love being involved in all aspects of supporting & augmenting a large scale video production pipeline.
We used to have to watch for "dormant subscriptions" where you forgot you pay $19/month for a Saas you never use.
Now we have this, but also:
- scheduled/cron agent doing a daily mission
- mcp tools calling stuff in the background
The more side projects/demos you have... yeah.
I waited WAY too long for this, but over the weekend I built my own app to replace Freshbooks.
Less features, only the ones I need, custom features to help with quarterly BAS lodgements.
Imported all my data, showed my accountant, and unsubscribed.
Why did I wait so long lol

Definitely missing something, but how do people spend multiple 1000s of $/month in AI and not getting 2-3 MAX 200 subscriptions instead?
Is it enterprise/team scale where a sub for each individual doesn't work out?
I NEVER run out of my single 200 MAX Opus 5.5 usage.
Anyone who's been on stage giving a talk will know Holly handled this situation incredibly well.
Fight or flight mode when things go wrong on stage is beyond anything you can imagine until you've been... on stage.
That, plus the stakes were so high there.

I skipped the denial stage pretty early, got to anger when I got laid off as as result of AI progress, then skipped to depression (about being a dev) for a good while.
Now, I don't fully love it, but I am fully accepting it.

A lot of people who thought they hated LaMelo Ball are about to love LaMelo Ball and what he'll bring to the Wolves org.
