While in Ghana, I joined Uganda’s tourism delegation, led by UTB Board Vice Chairperson Ron Kawamara, in strategic talks with the Ghana Tourism Authority to build partnerships in sports, faith-based tourism, film and trade.
With @UG_Airlines’ direct Entebbe-Accra route, we are opening new opportunities to attract Ghanaian visitors, connect tour operators and grow tourism business between East and West Africa.
We also explored opportunities around AFCON 2027, the Uganda Martyrs Trail, familiarisation trips, POATE and EAC tourism promotion.

Uganda remains Ebola-free, with no confirmed cases recorded since the country declared the Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak over on July 28, 2026, Minister of Health Dr. Chris Baryomunsi has announced.
Addressing the media today, Dr. Baryomunsi confirmed that all 60 contacts linked to the recent Ebola case involving a Kenyan traveller have completed the mandatory 21-day monitoring period without developing symptoms and have been discharged.
He reassured the public that Kasese has no confirmed Ebola cases and has recorded no deaths from the disease, while emphasizing that vigilance remains critical as transmission continues in the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The Ministry has intensified screening at border points and Entebbe International Airport, strengthened community surveillance and expanded cross-border support, including establishing three treatment units in the DRC with a combined capacity of 240 beds.
Dr. Baryomunsi called for continued public cooperation with health measures and stronger regional collaboration to contain Ebola at its source and protect communities from further spread.
For information or to report suspected cases, call the Ministry of Health toll-free hotline on 0800-100-066, send an alert SMS to 6767, or use U-Report on 8500. #OpenGovUg

Somewhere between Australia and Uganda, it finally sinks in.
I’m heading home with more than unforgettable memories from an incredible journey. I’m carrying a Second class upper Honors Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism Operations and Management from @NkumbaUni , a milestone that means so much to me.
There’s something deeply fulfilling about graduating in the very field I’ve always and am passionate about while already living that dream every day.
I’m grateful for every lesson, every opportunity, every challenge, and every person who believed in me.
Above all, I thank God for making this possible. The journey is only getting started, and I can’t wait for what lies ahead.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ME 👩🏾🎓
Congratulations 🎉
The name is mine, but the victory belongs to all of us. Officially a PRO with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.🎓
