Inspired by @brian_lovin to move this out of Blender and into a web app. First step is getting a good view cube into the top right corner for navigation (courtesy of Fusion 360).
Fresh out the oven
There's been a lot of hype around AI. Some great, some confusing. It’s great to see new companies rethinking the user experience and form factors. However, there is no doubt that smartphones will remain the main consumer AI form factor for the foreseeable future. With over 4 billion users and over 1 billion smartphones shipped every year—the numbers speak for themselves.
The way we use our smartphones needs to be redefined. The current user experience hasn't evolved for more than a decade! The next era needs a highly personalized, dynamic, and cross-device interface. One that also creates a human connection that makes tech feel more at ease to interact with.
For the last two months, we’ve been designing and prototyping AI interactions. Today, I want to show you some initial concepts to give you a better idea of what I’m talking about. Expect this to be improved and gradually introduced, starting with Phone (3) next year. It’s important we get the product right, integrating hardware and AI in a way that is both useful and brings a smile to people’s faces.
Over the last 3.5 years, we’ve been busy establishing our end to end capabilities. We’ve come a long way, being the only company that built a smartphone business in the last 10 years. We’ve also developed a creative culture in the company that emphasizes great UX and thoughtful integration between software and hardware. And as we reach stability and with solid growth plans, we’re ready to shift gears.
See this as us throwing our hat into the consumer AI race! 🏁

easy to forget that Apple had to start with iPod (and many iterations of it) to eventually get to iPhone.
instead of trying to stuff everything into V1 in a really Mid way … simplify, reduce, do less but better

Most Improved: Nothing Phone 2
Yes, the LED pattern on the back improved. Yes, the edges of the glass are more rounded and feel better in the hand. But the the software was the real headliner, and Nothing OS shines in character and functionality
Runner-up: iPhone 15
