I'm a simple man. If a YouTube video cover has a stunned face on it, I don't watch the video.

after the superlogical demo, i can't stop thinking about how i want to stop using ssh on a daily basis and, i think, they will come up with something new and cool which will soon become the standard rather than ssh)
A quick look into remote persistent sessions with Superlogical! Not just remote sessions, but some functionality like remote directory lists, too. Superlogical can actually be a full SSH replacement (I don't run SSH on my servers anymore), and I talk about that briefly, too.

this is a demo of websocket terminal transport connected to my vps inspired by mosh architecture and @superlogical demo this run displayed the typed character in a median of 11.8ms latency with added round-trip delay 350-400ms because of my network connection when i recorded this video (still quite impressive)

This week is full on AI psychosis for me. I think I burned around 1000 USD on one PR that is not going anywhere.

Beware people obsessed with outcomes instead of building outcome machines. Its worse than ever with AI, but these people existed before. Short term results above all else, etc. Don't fall into the trap. Invest in building strong fundamentals, invisible supports, and outcomes flow like water. An outcome machine.

asked claude about what the function does from @antirez C course and he not only told me how it works but also recognised the maestro's style and told me that its the classic redis-style code) this seems silly but it impresses me more than anything else claude can do this days

Pi folk, there is an issue with compaction in pi that might drain your codex limits faster There is a 272k token limit after which the API charges 2x for input and 1.5x for output tokens Issue: github.com/earendil-works/pi… @cancelik's extension is a workaround until this is solved upstream in pi: github.com/ogulcancelik/pi-e…

In the last 18 months or so my terminal use has exploded. From being a place where I mostly navigated the file system, ran a server and did some very light nvim use, to my entire workspace, connected to multiple machines, where I spend most of my day. This is the starting point we're using for designing the @superlogical multiplexer, and we're borrowing ideas from another app that blurs the local and remote, long lived sessions and throwaway tabs: the web browser. And the first thing I wanted to borrow: favicons, for your terminal apps. We call it the Deck icon (like a deck of cards), since it needs to represent your own layout of (potentially) multiple running processes.

In Pi, extensions allow you to subscribe to lifecycle events, register custom tools, add commands, and more. Here’s an example of using the Pi SDK to register a custom tool. Pi loads the tool name, description and parameters. The model can then call the tool when needs it🛠️

i still sometimes can’t comprehend that a tool i built for my own needs a few months ago reached this many people, and now gets praise from people i admire. easy to forget that you can just do things.
Replying to @frankekn @dhh

Recently started using @plannotator’s Guide review feature, and honestly, it’s a game changer. Instead of throwing you into a traditional file tree and making you work out how everything connects, it groups changes by logical flow and intended behaviour. My sanity restored

Very cool to see that we users of software now actively adapt it to our needs. This is going to be, I believe, standard practice, and this changes the way software must be designed and shipped.
