Drastic financial hardships are part of the every day for the working class and working poor. A struggling friend of mine said it best: “As long as nothing goes wrong, we’re fine. But there’s always something.”
It influences their approach to life. Gotta be short term or deprive kids of a dream that everyone else seems to have. So they live on the edge.
I can’t even fully empathize, but trying to learn from my friends who live this. I doubt these people are even making that attempt.
