Instead of sparking a diplomatic crisis, the conflict over border gold mines has actually fueled new momentum for a Cairo-Burhan joint force. #Egypt's military government is actively coordinating with #Sudanese Armed Forces leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan... africaintelligence.com/easte…

In her remarks, @sojoudE, Coordinator of the Exiled Working Group (HRDE-WG), appreciated her dedicated team- the Exiled Refugee Committee for its dedication, commitment, resilience and passion, which have underpinned the Group’s achievements.
She also expressed gratitude to DefendDefenders for its trust, guidance and support throughout her tenure. Reflecting on HRDE-WG’s evolution from a grassroots network into an institutionalised movement, she highlighted the adoption of its constitution as a key milestone in establishing a clear governance framework.
As she passes the baton, Soujoud wishes the incoming leadership success, reminding them that they inherit not only a vital responsibility but also a strong foundation, an adopted constitution and a supportive community.

Well the situation in Niger is getting worse with the Arabs being expelled from the country. They are bound to increase the numbers. This time they will be fighting for land not money
Sudan’s RSF turns to tribal leaders to stem losses after Kordofan defeats. This will create social chaos on the ground but also signals a lack of funding and recruitment options for the RSF, suggesting a deeper inherent weakness and dwindling UAE support. sudantribune.com/article/317…
No body bothered to tell them! How embarrassing
Replying to @KholoodKhair
See below.
The conspiratorial framing is directed both at Kamel and at Minawi, who's pro-Quintet & whose man Nureldaim Taha serves as Burhan's mining minister.
SAF trying to get rid of both? After all SAF has a lot of armed groups to accommodate and not enough positions.

Sudan Shield Forces arrest journalist Al-Rayah Issam in Al-Jazeera
The Sudanese Journalists Syndicate says journalist Al-Rayah Issam Jaksa was forcibly detained Sunday by Sudan Shield Forces personnel at the entrance to Wad Medani, while returning from covering an event at Al-Jazeera University, and taken to an unknown location. The syndicate condemned it as an arbitrary act meant to intimidate the press, calling it a "flagrant violation" of rights and demanding his immediate release, holding the force accountable for his safety. Sudan Shield Forces pushed back Tuesday, denying a journalist was targeted and claiming personnel arrested someone "wanted in national security cases" per legal procedure before handing him to a security cell.

I’ve seen first hand how #Sudan’s women are leading protection & peacebuilding efforts, despite tough challenges everywhere.
Proud to support these incredible women & refugee leaders, proving the power of real inclusion in decision-making & partnership. unhcr.org/africa/news/speech…
No s*** Sherlock and yet you are trying to push for this with the latest round nonsense negotiations thinking you’re slick introducing fourth parties last minute.
" Efforts to exclude Islamists entirely may prove difficult to enforce. Yet attempts to restore them to the centre of power could deepen mistrust and internal divisions. This could further fragment Sudan’s political and military landscape." theconversation.com/sudan-pe…

Seven years ago SAF and RSF attacked hundreds of civilians at the sit-in during the 2018-19 revolution
Today, they are killing civilians by the thousands in their war of succession
The ultimate enemy of the military state remains civilian democratic rule

While it is great they are thinking about the future. It would be more beneficial if it was not the same group of old men who failed so many times. We need younger people who will have to live with the consequences in the future. And women much more women

So SAF has gone from peddling their bad propaganda to just straight up lying?
This is not simply ridiculous but negligence of the highest order.
Sudan is home to the world's largest hunger crisis, by scale.
