Just had lunch with my oldest son, and while he's a Trump supporter, he really wonders why we did Iran. Is there really a risk of a nuclear attack? He thinks we could just leave and call it done.

I suspect the increase in diesel prices isn't having a big effect on the truckers, because the economy is strong and they can get a little more revenue to cover the added expense.

I don't think it'll get on @coasttocoastam tonight, but I'd like to hear what @HeatherLynn has to say about the misnaming of AI: my term is something like 'directed search'. AI would be appropriate when it does some thinking. Or displays some reasoning. But it's not artificial in the least.

Note to @FoxNews and @FoxBusiness : every time you mention socialism, you have to give capitalism equal time.

War Admiral thinks before we 'annihilate' Iran, let's try lobbing a few Ukranian drones into Tehran, and you guys should know appropriate targets.

So Warsh increased the basic lending rate .25 point. Big whoops. He probably did it to demonstrate his independence from Trump.

War Admiral doesn't understand what part of Trump/Bessent strangling of Iran economically that the pundits don't get. We just enforce the Hormuz blockade. He's also a little surprised the CIA didn't see the Houthis coming, or maybe they did and the media didn't.

War Admiral isn't too concerned about the weps shortage, since we're blockading Iran and just need some drones to attack Tehran. Operation Strangle shouldn't be expensive.

I'm surprised that @elonmusk is in the guardrails camp on AI regulation, since I'm sure he appreciates that the Chinese are hell bent on overtaking the US, and don't like regulations, although we're about four laps ahead in racing terms.

BTW, I think @DavidEllison is slowly fixing CBS and CNN into fair and balanced networks, based on the times each appears in Newsmax programs. And PSKY stock price goes up when they announce they might be leaving CA.

Note for @MikeRogersForMI @Michele_Tafoya @KenPaxtonTX and other struggling Repubs: We will train your campaign people in 'relationship' telemarketing for your campaigning. It worked for @MarthaMcSally so well that the Dems in AZ had to find 50,000 illegal votes to win and the case is still in the courts.

BTW, if any of you wants to call me up at originalbizguru.com, or 480-200-5678, feel free to do so. 200 marketing consults and 96 company consults at your service.

I've noticed that many companies are wasting a lot of ad dollars on ads that might be missing the mark or don't have a call to action in them. Don't believe your ad agency: do your own focus group online by recruiting a focus group of customers in your perceived target market. With ChatGPT you can even take notes on what they say.

My .02 to Republicans gearing up for midterms is that point out to your constituents in ads that you're much better off the last two years under R leadership than you were under high inflation Biden policies. In AZ, I don't see evidence that @jayfeely and @ZudiJasser are paying attention. It's still the economy, guys.

For those of you who are interested, the new SBA law is only a proposal at this point, so you've got 90 days to comment on it, through your US Congress representatives. The SBA site is sba.gov, but it's not clear where the proposal resides on the site. Most localities have SBA offices, so if you can't find it, call them. Kudos again to the Business Journal for running a story on the proposed law.

Replying to @marklevinshow
@marklevinshow on Sunday sounded like a repeat of an earlier show, because I criticized it once before as being too focused on the DSA and your book, when you might have taken the time to talk about the virtues of capitalism. I'd even come on your program as a guest and do it; I've lectured on capitalism before at the MBA level.

And Rebecca Heinrichs (no relation) was on talking about political/military deals

War Admiral, who learned his asymmetrical warfare at the feet of Marine LTGEN Chesty Puller in Vietnam thinks we should get about 100 drones from the Ukrainians (trade if we must, since Treasury's a little short these days) and attack Kharg Island and some choice targets in Teheran. C'mon Raisin Cane, let's live up to your handle.

It's only one game, but I think I see a cultural change in the @AZCardinals . New coach from winning tradition (SF 49ers), bunch of new players, plus some holdovers, but playing four quarters of football. No quitting when ahead. Well done, guys, keep it up.

Shows that if you take over a company, get a new president, from winning tradition, change a few key folks, and your odds of successful change go up.
