Dear friends and colleagues,
This is a call for international conference organizers to think twice before organizing any conference in Western Europe/North America, where many academics from the Global South (GS) need a visa to enter. (1)

📣next year @sozges and I will work on a project that brings together two of my favourite topics: safety and participatory e-texiles!
🦾🪡I'm looking for someone with e-textiles skills to work with me in Newcastle for Feb&March '22 (10h/week). If that's you, please get in touch!
I almost cried in the middle of my hybrid design studio teaching today as I needed to connect to a beamer to share with the class, another screen via a drawing tablet to share via miro, and to a zoom screen for sharing with the online audience 1/3
Just to show some design examples (video) I tried to find the audio output that satisfies both zoom and the class, to mute myself timely each time to not to echo, and to get feedback, needed to hear my students online, and find the chat box among many screens.2/3
