Got to feel for Carrick. How on earth was he meant to prepare a team for today when he’s clearly still emotionally scarred by United’s title capitulation 14 years ago?!

The results are in and the most popular of the three is the Sky Blue Coat of Arms one.
The black and white one has sold a couple but hasn't taken off.
But it still raised a few quid for @MCFCfoodbank

The best way to describe the football fan reaction to the Man City charges is the way people in the past used to love hangings/beheading.
People turning up in droves to witness it because it served a function, letting society unify in one voice to push all their anger onto one individual. The powers that be at that time used to roll out a beheading/hanging to keep society placated and distracted, much like how the Romans used to placate the masses with Gladiator games.
Surely we’ve evolved as a species beyond these instincts of mindless blood lust? But no, we suffer the same tendencies but the medium is now through 1080p phone displays.

I think the level of hysteria around the Man City case is becoming very weird.
People genuinely acting like the Club has to be destroyed and sent to the shadow realm have lost the plot in my opinion.
They weren’t found guilty of match fixing. They weren’t paying refs. This isn’t comparable to the Serie A scandal or Lance Armstrong.
They saw an anti-competitive and unjust rule which only allowed the same 4 teams to dominate the League and said “no, we don’t want to wait decades to slowly build up revenues and have to sell our best players every time they do well to stop us from succeeding. We have the money, we’re not going to be irresponsible with Man City’s finances, we want to invest and compete now”.
Again, the idea that every team other than 3/4 in the League has to go on a constant merry-go-round of “hey that player for you guys is really good, we’re going to just take him because you can’t invest any more of your own money and he would be wasted at a middling team like you” is wrong. It doesn’t help football in this country and the rules should change to allow these clubs to be bought by owners with even deeper pockets who can give those clubs and even higher chance of sustained success.

"Man City’s owners invested heavily, grew the club into a global powerhouse and poured huge amounts into the regeneration of Manchester… yet somehow that’s seen as the problem. 🤔
Meanwhile, Man United have spent years carrying enormous debt while money has continued to leave the club, and apparently that model is perfectly acceptable.
One ownership puts money in. The other has seen money going out.
Yet somehow we’re supposed to believe the first one is what’s wrong with modern football."
Make it make sense. 😂

Genuine people struggling out there and people are donating to a hacker because he exposed a club that they don’t like. The world is fucked.
On Wednesday, just hours after the verdict officially confirming Manchester City’s guilt, the Commission responsible for Portugal's witness protection programme informed me of its decision to terminate my participation in the programme and withdraw my police protection, thereby knowingly placing me in a life-threatening situation.
Given these circumstances, I have no alternative but to relocate, within the next few days, to an undisclosed location for an indefinite period of time, due to the multiple death threats I have received and the serious risk of an assassination attempt against me.
For this reason, I have just set up a GoFundMe campaign and I am asking for everyone's support to help me survive this serious situation created by the Portuguese State, which, as I have already stated, has knowingly decided to place my life at risk.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thanks to everyone who continues to support Football Leaks, and I can give everyone one guarantee: the fight will most certainly continue!

Manchester City will always be part of my heart.
I arrived at Maine Road in 1995 and lived through some very difficult days with this club. Relegation, uncertainty, seasons when nothing went our way. But one thing never changed: the supporters stood by City every single week.
Today there is a lot of noise around the club. I'm not here to talk about courtrooms. I'm here to say that this club, its people and its fans have been through storms before, and they always came back stronger.
Stay together. Stay proud. Blue forever. 💙

I fully support what @ManCity did. Yes, these rules are meant to protect smaller clubs from financial ruin BUT they also indirectly serve to protect the dominance of Man United, Liverpool and Arsenal. City showed that if everyone was allowed to spend what is at their disposal WISELY, the face of the top 4 would change. Things wouldn’t be so predictable. It would be a proper competitive league. I wish Newcastle was brave enough to do the same.
My stance:
All clubs should be punished for breaking the rules including Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea without exception.
My problem is the rules themselves, which are designed to stop owners spending their own money on their own football club, just to protect the interests of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
I guarantee you, the only winners in this whole debacle will be the lawyers and the Red Cartel clubs that will dominate English football again much like what they did before Manchester City’s owners bought the club.

Newcastle & Villa will never win titles like Man City did…
We will be forced to sell our best players to the big clubs, watching our exciting projects reset to square one every season due to anti-competitive rules
But at least we can celebrate not being rule breakers eh!?

Martin Samuels nails it:
In my opinion Evertonians should NOT fall into the trap of saying City should get a massive points deduction
A points deduction was NOT on the table when clubs voted for PSR
The points deduction was concocted by Masters and the corrupt clubs to get @Everton relegated
How ridiculous is it that you aren't allowed to inject capital into a newly acquired business? Even worse, no such rules existed until after the acquisition took place. That’s the exact situation Manchester City has been facing for over a decade.

Manchester City have no debt, have poured millions into regenerating the community and have the best youth system in the country by a mile!
United sacked half their employees, have £1B worth of debt, funnelled all their profits abroad and were the main beneficiaries of the Super League!
Guess which one is getting punished…

City have been deceitful. No doubt about it at all but why? Because the other FIVE so called big clubs have wanted it all their own way. Pass the parcel each season. The Premier League is broken. Hope it falls to it's knees. Just wait for the legal claims to come.

City would be stupid to accept anything less than £100m for Rodri, even with his contract situation. I can't see Madrid pushing too hard knowing they can grab him in a year for nowt. Basically, I think he'll stay...but its still a bit naff isn't it. He was born and raised in Madrid and Real have a ridiculous global reputation. I don't think it's any more complex than that. Only natural he'll want to go and win La Liga back home.

Really finding it hard to get behind all the sentimental nonsense about how City should respect Rodri’s wishes. He missed two seasons of football through injury. We rehabilitated him. The bare minimum he can do is honor his contract. His agent is acting appallingly by playing this out in public.
