It’s International Dog Day so today we’re celebrating our amazing therapy dogs Elsie, Cobi, Maggie, Harry, Scout, Smartie and Thomas. 🐶🐾

Music, bubbles and a moment of joy. 💛🫧🎶 Our entertainers create moments of laughter, connection and fun for seriously ill children in hospital, helping them forget about everything else for a little while. This is what spreading smiles is all about. ✨

Supporting oncology patients across the North West.💛 Our NHS partner The Christie, Manchester is home to one of only two NHS Proton Beam Therapy centres in the UK - UCLH being the other - treating patients with complex cancers, including brain, head and neck, and sarcomas.

📍 Welcome to our North West Hub. In 2021, Spread a Smile expanded into the North West with one clear ambition: to reach more seriously ill children and young people around the country with moments of joy, laughter and connection when they need them most.

Therapy Dog Elsie has been out and about spreading smiles. 🐶😁   Our therapy dogs bring calm, comfort and a moment of normality to hospital rooms, offering gentle companionship to seriously ill children during what can be a very difficult time.  🩷
