On April 10, 2025, Constables Quintin Nakamura-McMullen and Audi Orahim were patrolling the Downtown Eastside as part of Task Force Barrage. This community safety initiative included a high-visibility police presence to target the organized crime groups victimizing vulnerable residents in the neighbourhood.
The officers observed two men involved in an offence and approached them. One of the suspects refused to comply with the officers and began to walk away. As Constable Nakamura-McMullen moved closer, the man became assaultive and an altercation ensued. When the constable fell to the ground, the suspect sprayed him with a combustible liquid and lit him on fire.
Fully engulfed in flames, Constable Nakamura-McMullen was able to separate himself from the suspect and smother the flames. The man then turned his attention to Constable Orahim, spraying him with the liquid and setting fire to his clothing.
The suspect fled on foot, with the constables giving chase. As they caught up to him and a physical struggle ensued, a large crowd gathered. Additional officers arrived and the suspect was taken into custody.
For their exceptional bravery in pursuing a dangerous suspect to ensure he was no longer a threat, Constables Quintin Nakamura-McMullen and Audi Orahim were awarded the Chief Constable’s Commendation.

I don’t think there’s a fanbase I feel worse for than the Pelicans. Zion era was one big flop. Paired the wrong people with him. It’s run its course. Blow it up already.
I believe women are the smarter gender across every single topic (science, politics, sports, lit, philosophy, etc.) except when it comes to this one topic right here. I have never heard even one speak intelligently on this topic. Apologies if this is offensive 🙏
Russ, Klay, AD, etc. It takes fans (and some GMs!) many years to sync their out of days impression of players with their current actual performance.
Production relative to cap hit is another thing fans can’t stomach.
Biggest #Wizards takeaway five games in: Anthony Davis has been a problem.
He’s rebounding + blocking shots at the lowest rate of his career while he’s taking the most shots of his career (at a career low efficiency).
This version of AD adds very little value towards winning.
How come they always select the Nazi types for these feel good pieces? Why not choose a regular Ukrainian solider?
Ukrainian veteran Ruslan Knysh is just 20 years old. Still, he continues to defend his country after losing both arms and legs in a Russian drone attack. Today, he is training to become a drone pilot by using a customized chin controller to operate unmanned ground vehicles. abcnews.link/H2WKOYt
This joke tells me you don’t know how to pronounce rapport
Replying to @realwesmyers
She kept trying to use the expression "build a rapport" but she instead was saying "build a rapaport" and I couldn't hide my laughter thinking about Michael Rapaport.
I’m telling you that one floor slap and these facial expressions made him tens of millions of dollars
The NBA season has become an 82 game grind to see who is healthy enough to compete in the playoffs. It’s all about health now. This isn’t what the sport is supposed to be about. Reduce the season to 54 games already!

The Celtics reportedly tried to trade Jaylen Brown to the Nets, but Brooklyn rejected the deal because of his ties to Kyrie Irving, per @NYPost_Lewis
Jaylen Brown publicly defended Kyrie Irving after his suspension for promoting an antisemitic video, calling Nets owner Joe Tsai’s criticism of Irving “alarming.” Brown later criticized Tsai directly, questioning his business relationships and suggesting he also needed to be held accountable.

Once you factor in NBA fines, agent fees, and taxes, $200M isn’t really a lot of money.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Ant flop or even really complain all that much. Elite player who plays with a lot of integrity.
This is performative but good for Yaxel for playing the media game. They’re eating it up in the replies.
This would be insane if Giannis leaves but I think a superstar has never pulled this off. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Wow Heat have to win this. There’s so much venom from all angles. The hate watch is ridiculous. Don’t think I’ve seen this level of hate in a long while.
Am I wrong in that JWill might be able to come back for playoffs?
