I hope back onto Twitter for a little peek and see the same old nonsense
Increasingly wondering if much has changed in ed policy since the Tories. New eg: Becky Francis to give an update on DfE's curriculum review to Tom Bennett's privately-controlled organisation researchED (entry fee £64.88 if you sign up now):

IQ is a myth, so … 🤷‍♂️
As the world's highest IQ record holder, I believe the Bible is the perfect, eternal, and final Word of God. Therefore, the Bible doesn’t need to be updated. The world needs to catch up.

Don’t assume that because kids speak a lot at Michaela, we do Oracy. We don’t. Our goal is never ‘to get the kids to speak more’ ‘because speaking is good and private school kids are good at that’. We don’t chase private schools or we would be basking in DEI. 5/15

The problem with coming away from X is that you miss gems like this. “We don’t do oracy”.
Oracy is yet another educational fad/distraction that doesn’t work. Focus on Oracy forces a school to organise itself around a mistaken concept, making it harder to succeed - not impossible, but harder. We do NOT do Oracy at Michaela. 1/15

This feels a bit gaslighty
Brexit Britain is now the link between Europe and the USA. The UK is in a unique position to form a 'coalition of the willing' to secure a lasting peace. Thank goodness we left the EU — and this country can stand tall on the world stage once again.

The painting in question is a stark embodiment of the pernicious blood libel myth—a baseless and malevolent accusation that has fueled antisemitism for centuries. This particular artwork, titled "Mord Rytualny" ("Ritual Murder"), was created by Charles de Prevot in the 18th century and is housed in the Sandomierz Cathedral in Poland. It graphically portrays the fictitious ritual murder of Christian children by Jewish individuals, a defamatory narrative that has been repeatedly debunked yet persistently used to incite hatred and violence against Jewish communities. Historically, such images have been weaponized by unscrupulous individuals to propagate antisemitic propaganda. By depicting Jews as perpetrators of heinous crimes, these artworks sought to dehumanize an entire community, justifying discrimination, persecution, and pogroms. The "Mord Rytualny" painting, for instance, was commissioned in 1708 and has been displayed prominently, influencing public perception and perpetuating harmful stereotypes. Its presence in a religious setting lent it an air of legitimacy, further entrenching these unfounded accusations in the societal psyche. The origins of the blood libel myth trace back to medieval Europe, with one of the earliest recorded instances being the case of William of Norwich in 1144. Such allegations were systematically fabricated to marginalize Jewish populations, often leading to tragic consequences. The persistence of these myths, as exemplified by de Prevot's painting, underscores the enduring impact of visual media in shaping and, in this case, distorting societal attitudes. In contemporary times, it is imperative to critically examine and contextualize such artworks. While they serve as historical artifacts, their display without proper explanation can perpetuate ignorance and bigotry. Institutions housing these pieces bear the responsibility of educating the public about the falsehoods they represent and the real-world harm they have caused. Only through such proactive measures can we hope to dismantle the lingering vestiges of these malicious myths and foster a more informed and inclusive society.

Sigh…..😞 Another day, another wildly misleading Daily Mail headline. I mean, it certainly would be headline worthy if police had turned up and accused her of committing a crime by writing innocent FB posts. But that's not what happened… 🧵 1/
