I’m going to watch a few Classic SK vs. BC playoff games to get primed for Saturday. I don’t have much time so I am going to limit myself and not go back any farther than oh, let’s set it randomly to 2010. It’s actually the first playoff game we took Avery to, albeit in utero.
All they have to do now is spray that field down with a half inch of water and it’s Grey Cup ready

Here’s my idea to add maybe a little more juice to the ‘27 CFL regular season. The only two playoff spots guaranteed by division in the first round are the # 1’s. Every other spot is filled in according to record. Kinda keeps the spirit of the current crossover alive.
5 of 6 CFL playoff teams have a Grey Cup starting QB on their rosters. 4 of those 5 are Grey Cup MVPs. Oh, and the guys that didn’t start a Grey Cup or weren’t GCMVP’s? All league MOP’s (this assumes Alexander will win it this year). ‘26 Playoffs could be absolutely bonkers.

So, from what I see, Nathan Rourke has started 10 games against the Riders since 2021. In those games the Lions are 5-5 with a slim +12 point differential. With Corey Mace at the helm: 3-4 with a -16 PD. Obviously BC is the hotter team at the moment, but I have hope.

On one hand, I can definitely see every other team in the playoffs being “hungrier” than SK, or “wanting it more”, which would not bode well for the Riders, but on the other hand a team with a lot of playoff experience on the roster playing loose could definitely make some noise
