More post from author Daisy May Johnson @chaletfan. We love receiving our mail @bookpenpals which is always full of excellent recommendations, a few bad jokes and great inspiration. It also has pride of place on our wall. Our reply is being prepared and will be on its way soon!
We are moving our main way of communicating what happens each day in school to Instagram. Please follow us @stedwardsrclees to continue seeing how we live ‘life to the full’ every day #LoveLearnSmileBelieve

Year 5/6 are enjoying creating new paper from the scrap in our recycling bins. A fantastic introduction to our new materials topic whilst thinking about all of our learning on climate change too! ♻️ #lovelearnsmilebelieve
We had a lovely Mother’s Day assembly today led by our Early Years and KS1 children. #lovelearnsmilebelieve
We had a very special visitor this afternoon. Thank you to Olly Russell from Huddersfield Giants for coming in to talk to us about life as a rugby player. Lots of our children left school feeling very inspired and are supporting the Giants all the way! @Giantsrl @OllyRuss6
So glad you enjoyed them @chaletfan. We had a very funny (but noisy) afternoon writing those!
Thank you to my lovely @bookpenpals at @stedwardsrc - your jokes are OUTSTANDING and making me laugh a lot this lunchtime!! (Answers to your questions coming sooon!).
ALT A group of small pieces of paper on a desk. The papers have jokes written on them accompanied by small drawn illustrations.
Due to the weather and the roads around school, St Edward’s and wraparound care are both CLOSED today
We are incredibly proud of the year 4's today! They represented school brilliantly in choral speaking at the @OldhamColiseum, and achieved a grade of distinction. Well done!
Our Year 4 performed at the @OldhamColiseum this morning at choral speaking. They were excellent and came away with a DISTINCTION grade. Absolute superstars! #LoveLearnSmileBelieve
A fabulous World Book Day in Canary class. We had stories, quizzes, book-based artwork and more. We also read Dear Earth and the children have created their own magazine all about our wonderful planet. We have also spent the day trying to work out who has stolen Mrs Lee’s wig!
Our mechanimals inspired by the book Cogheart are coming along nicely in Y5 and 6. Only a few left to paint now. The children have worked very hard over the past few weeks with the guidance of our talented Mrs Fletcher. Don’t you think they’re wonderful? #LoveLearnSmileBelieve
Today, Bishop John also presented our first @CaritasSalford Catholic Social Teaching Award to three siblings who have raised over £600 for the @LPTrustUK. Both girls have also donated their hair to make wigs. #LoveLearnSmileBelieve
A beautiful Mass to celebrate our 150th birthday. The children were amazing and it was lovely to see how many former staff celebrating with us. A wonderful morning, led by Bishop John
