Used the USDA yield editor source code, updated it and automated it. Feels pretty great that it takes almost all human error out of it. It still uses the "Human in the Loop" feature to have me check off each dataset, but everything else is automated across all variables. Here its comparing moisture sensor timing/lag to yield sensor to make sure they are matched up properly, along with cutting width that is acceptable vs not.
This was a great post by @traviss22 ! Ran a similar situation to pressure test my soil zones! One with Fable and the other Astra. Both very cool!
Out here just casually pulling @JohnDeere ops center elevation data with API and running rain simulations to determine drainage and ditching paths.
AI developed software will be groundbreaking to those who aren’t afraid to push boundaries. #farmtech
Super impressed with grokbot and how I can converse with it. It’s connected to a bunch of apps I built via API and my farm brain vault, and its speed, quality and ability to produce visuals is amazing.
Update ChatGPT project on setting the grain dryer for corn harvest! This is slick as heck!
Told me to adjust plenum up about 4 degrees and we should be under 16% final.
I’ve been using Precip’s API in an agronomy app I’m building and it has been very consistent and accurate when comparing to my own weather station at the farm! Highly recommend!
Rocket Shipping was awarded top 3 supplier for LaZboy for year 2026! It was an honor to fly down to Detroit to accept this with my team! @gabe_pankonin
When it comes to AI on the farm, my thoughts are changing.
Yes apps are good, and we all love nice UI, but trying to pack everything thats done on a farm in a single app is messy, and hard to maintain.
I like a few smaller apps with strict goals and guardrails, all AI native and connected to an AI agent such as Grokbot.
I think you could argue that too much glucose in the bloodstream is like too much nitrate in the plant sap.

I use it across my career and the farm to keep everything in check. Its honestly pretty crazy the longer I keep using it.
Looking at a 8-12 YO CTL. Thinking Cat 259D or Bobcat T650. What’s your thoughts? John Deere was third option.
Due to my procrastination, I had AI build me a study guide for my Part 107 this week. I'm comparing this to watching the study videos, and wow did AI crush it. Saving me a weeks worth of time watching videos.

Fun little project. Downloaded the USDA yield editor source code, had Claude rebuild and automate it. Now anytime I load a new harvest file into SMS, it gets sent to a Dropbox folder, then to the yield editor, and finally to my GK folder with the finalized and cleaned yield and moisture data.
I have to give a shoutout to Jesse and the team at @getprecip! Being able to pull very detailed weather information into my personal farming app, via their API, has been awesome! This type of data analysis sure makes understanding the crop a lot easier!
Crazy! This grok bot is connected to my data, and farm second brain vault to be coding and researching on my phone.
Crushing @bot GrokBot right now. Easier and quicker than. Hermes and Buzz. Haven’t tried all the use cases but I’m bullish so far! @NickHorob
See you there!
