Leaving Lisbon today with a lot to think about after my first Meridian.
One thing I keep coming back to is how much of building an ecosystem happens after the events are over. Getting people into a room is one thing. Helping them stick around, keep building, and turn an idea into something people actually use is another.
3 things I’m taking away from Meridian:
1. Retention over acquisition, again and again.
getting developers into the ecosystem is just the beginning. The real challenge is helping them stay, build long-term, and turn their projects into startups.
2. Traction over demos.
a good demo is a starting point. I plan to focus more on understanding what’s blocking teams, helping them find their first users, and supporting them as they scale.
3. More collaboration across chapters.
meeting all the Stellar Chapter Leads and Ambassadors was amazing. Now it’s time to turn those connections into more cross-chapter collaborations and opportunities for our builders.
