i mourn stephbin if her writing wasn’t DRENCHED in misogyny. becuase i don’t think bruce wayne’s heart is sexist but how he is written in a lot of her comics is unbearable

every day i mourn the batman and stephbin relationship we could have had... we get a couple brief glimpses at how they could have been if steph's tenure as robin wasn't cut so short

digital drawing of pavi and nisha from avatar seven heavens. pavi is standing looking on her hands where a bug is resting on her fingers. nisha is slightly behind her leaning forward to see what pavi is holding. her face is scrunched in confusion.

Cass motherly but she simply would not be for lack of a better word emotionally open enough to ever truly acknowledge that fact or do something as permanent as adopt her.

I said this in a qrt of my own post but again these discussions ignore the fact that while Cass sees Babs as her mother Babs does not see Cass as her daughter but as her little sister. Which we know because of her translated cass code “lil sis”. Babs definitely treats +

You guys are missing my point completely. I think the decision to have Bruce adopt Cass was uninteresting and hasn't resulted in any compelling writing. If Cass is adopted by anyone, it should be the woman who nurtured her and taught her how to read and write.

I fear this take is incredibly boring to me. The Bruce v. Cain fight re: their place in Cass's life defined large parts of Batgirl 2000 to the point of DC making a whole event about it. Attempting to minimize and dismiss that is erasing a fundamental part of Cass's character arc!

This might be a hot take but I don't actually like Cass being part of the Wayne family or find it interesting. If I'm being honest, I would rather Cass become part of the Gordon family because her relationship with Barbara is so much more compelling to me.
