It's time to build the future of American power systems, directed energy and propulsion. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿฆพ We are on a mission to make sure the United States leads the world in counter-UAS and counter-electronics systems, dominate power generation, unlocks fusion energy and builds propulsion systems that will define the future. Thank you to all of our team members, investors and supporters for joining the mission @jamiegull @CubitCapital @E_Bruxxx @noahpompan @ereborbank @shervin @PeterDiamandis @MorganSchwanke @Mana_Ventures @lpolovets @NathanLands @sigalitperelson @FinnMurphy12 @Nebularvc @dspector @tgm and so many others! prnewswire.com/news-releasesโ€ฆ

Brilliant post from @shaunmmaguire 1. Starships is the most complex engineering achievement in human history, and it is about a decade ahead of any competing system. 2. Orbit offers insane benefits for data centers. Starship will make SpaceX the largest operator of SI globally. 3. The only thing that can stop this is a black swan event: a major war, an insane political event or something else crazy. This incredible future allows companies like @stelliostech build the next frontier - technologies that will take humanity across the solar system and beyond alongside SpaceX.

There is a future where trips to Mars take weeks not months. We are excited to be building this future at @stelliostech Compact fusion and next generation power systems are the key unlock. Thank you @etnshow for sharing our story! Great questions @lukeknight & @ronanchamberss
Stellios Founder and CEO Richard Starson told us that fusion-powered space travel is closer than people think, and that trips to Mars could end up taking weeks not months: "I think that today fusion is in a similar time as AI was in 2017โ€“2018, when transformers were invented but ChatGPT did not appear yet. The building blocks of compact fusion are already there." "There are multiple companies that will get to fusion. Most of them are focused on electricity generation. We believe we have a design that can make fusion energy not just functional, but also compact and lightweight.โ€ "Once you've got fusion-powered engines, you can get from here to Mars in weeks instead of months."

America must lead in c-UAS and directed energy systems! This means we must build a deep and efficient American supply chain for HPM systems and compact power. Time to build! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฆพ

High Power Microwave systems are non-lethal deterrent. They are also effective against drones and anything with electronics. We are seeing early days of directed energy protecting America ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿฆพ Exciting to see @DHSgov @DeptofWar at the forefront of innovation.
NEW: The Pentagon has granted the Department of Homeland Security permission to test a heat ray weapon at the southern border. The military-grade heat ray can shoot an invisible beam of electromagnetic waves at potential intruders. The weapon can reach people more than half a mile away, according to the United States military. According to the Pentagon, the heat ray weapon is non-lethal but causes a burning sensation on the skin that can last between 10 and 15 minutes. The weapon sends an uncomfortable tingling effect on a potential intruder, generating "an instinctive and irresistible urge to run from the effect." Officials say the feeling is similar to the blast of heat you receive when you open up a hot oven.

Congrats to @DrStarson and team at Stellios for coming out of stealth. Impressive early traction and the right founder to build these power systems.
Stellios Technologies, an Austin, Texas-based startup developing high-power microwave systems for counter-drone defense and industrial applications, emerged from stealth with an oversubscribed $5 million pre-seed funding round. Founded and led by CEO Dr. Richard Starson, who previously co-founded microwave-powered space launch company Escape Dynamics, Stellios had already secured $2 million in customer purchase orders before raising the round. The funding was backed by Sofreh Capital, Wave Function Ventures, Cubit Capital, Mana Ventures, Atoms & Bits, Output Capital, Erik Bruckner, and other strategic investors. The company plans to use the proceeds to deliver its first contracted microwave systems, establish U.S. research and pilot manufacturing facilities, expand its team and government business development, and advance its AI-native engineering platform and longer-term compact fusion research.
