Four years ago Wandsworth Council voted unanimously to be a Borough of Sanctuary for refugees.

Cutting it won’t save much money at all, as most of the offers are funded by smart deals with private sector partners (such as Lime, leisure operators and Go Ape).
The Tories are ending Access For All because it a Labour scheme - and because they disagree with its goal of equality

This increase is unnecessary. Wandsworth Tories weren’t even able to get their own Councillors to vote for their financial statement which was lost 25-28 even with the Independent Councillor Grimston voting with them. There are alternatives to Tory chaos.
Wandsworth Council has confirmed council tax will need to rise unless Government rethinks sweeping cuts to our funding, which will put major pressure on local services.

When Labour ran Wandsworth Council we had the lowest Council Tax in the country, the highest reserves of any neighbouring borough and no external debt.
