🚨 Lionel Scaloni on Lionel Messi’s farewell performance: “I have a theory about passes from Leo. They are not normal passes. A normal pass gives you the ball. Leo gives you the ball and somehow also gives you an idea. I noticed this years ago in training. A player would receive the ball from someone else, control it, look around and decide what to do. Then Leo would pass to the same player and suddenly he was playing one-touch football. I once stopped training. ‘Why did you do that?’ The player looked confused. ‘Do what?’ ‘Leo passed to you and suddenly you became a better footballer.’ Everyone laughed. Leo said, ‘Maybe my pass was better.’ I looked at him. ‘This is exactly the arrogance I’m investigating.’ He smiled. But there is something strange about it. Leo gives you a pass and you feel obligated to complete the move properly. You think, ‘Lionel Messi has just found me. I cannot embarrass this pass.’ Today was supposed to be his farewell. Emotional day. Tributes. The stadium stopping in the tenth minute. And Leo apparently decided his final responsibility was improving everybody around him one last time. We get a corner. Leo takes it. Otamendi scores. I just looked towards the bench. Of course. Even his corners have this annoying habit of becoming somebody else’s goal. Then Nico Paz comes on. Before he went on, I told him, ‘Enjoy this. You may never play another Argentina match with Leo, so remember everything.’ Nico nodded. A few minutes later Leo gives him the ball outside the area. Nico could recycle possession. Apparently receiving the ball from Messi makes young players forget sensible options exist. He shoots. Beautiful goal. I turned to my staff. ‘You see?’ ‘See what?’ ‘The disease.’ ‘What disease?’ ‘Messi passed to him and now Nico thinks he can score from anywhere.’ Then I saw Nico celebrating and Leo pointing and walking towards him smiling. I thought, ‘This poor boy is finished.’ Because now every time Nico receives the ball there, he’ll remember that one time Messi gave it to him and everything worked. That is the problem with Leo. He doesn’t only make difficult things look easy himself. He convinces the player beside him that difficult things are easy too. You can spend all week coaching movements. Then Leo gets the ball and the tactical instruction becomes very simple. ‘Everybody be ready.’ Because something is probably about to happen. I remember once telling him, ‘Do you realise how many assists you get because somebody produces an incredible finish?’ He said, ‘Then maybe I choose good people to pass to.’ ‘No. I think you hypnotise them.’ He laughed. Today didn’t help his defence. Otamendi scores from his delivery. Nico receives his pass and hits one from outside the box. Then Leo decides assisting everybody else is becoming repetitive, so he scores himself. Two assists and a goal in his farewell. That is such a Messi way to leave. Even on the day football is supposed to celebrate him, he spends half the match making everybody around him look good. Maybe that is the part Argentina will miss that statistics cannot explain. We can find goals. We can find assists. But I don’t know where you find another player who gives a teammate the ball and somehow makes him feel ten times better for the next five seconds. After Nico scored, I told one of my assistants, ‘We have a serious problem.’ ‘What?’ I pointed at Leo. ‘Soon these boys are going to have to do all this without him.’ He laughed. I didn’t. Because that might be the hardest part of replacing Lionel Messi. It isn’t finding somebody who knows what to do when he gets the ball. It’s finding somebody who makes everyone else know what to do when they get it.”

Last year, $GLXY shared our ambition to expand beyond Helios and build a multi-campus, multi-gigawatt, multi-tenant data center business. I'm excited to announce that we've now closed on the acquisition of our second data center campus: a 500-acre site in McGregor, Texas, a state where we continue to invest and a power market we know exceptionally well. The initial development is expected to reach 74 MW, subject to execution of interconnection and power supply agreements with the local utilities. We then plan to coordinate with the local utility to support development above the 75 MW large load threshold in ERCOT. We expect the initial 74 MW to begin receiving power in 2028, with the potential to scale the campus to multi-hundred MW's through 2030. This is an important milestone for $GLXY. It marks our evolution from a single campus at Helios to a multi-campus data center business and represents another meaningful step in the growth and maturation of our Data Centers business. With a development pipeline that now extends nearly five years, $GLXY is quickly becoming one of the world's largest developers and operators of AI data center infrastructure, backed by a strong track record of execution.

FIFA must make all camera wires out of Croatian hair from now on!
FIFA saying the ball sensor didn't detect hitting the camera wire really just causes problems for them Because you can see it hit something and move, so how can we trust the sensor And where's Croatia in all of this

🚨🎙️ ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIĆ ON LIONEL MESSI'S INFLUENCE ON ARGENTINA AFTER THEIR WIN OVER AUSTRIA: “I'm obsessed with watching Messi. Not because he's my friend. Not because of nostalgia. Because after all these years, I'm still trying to understand how one player can control a football match without touching the ball every minute. I watched Argentina today and the first thing I noticed wasn't the scoreline. It was the way Austria reacted whenever Messi moved. One step to the left, defenders follow. One drop into midfield, the entire shape changes. One glance over his shoulder panic. That's not football. That's psychological warfare. And that's why I laugh when people reduce him to goals and assists. They don't understand what they're watching. Messi isn't just Argentina's best player. He's Argentina's system. He's their confidence. He's their belief. He's the reason every teammate walks onto the pitch thinking the impossible is possible. People ask me about the GOAT debate. What debate? Seriously. What debate? For me, there isn't one. The debate exists because television needs content and social media needs arguments. When I watch football, I don't see a debate. I see Messi. Then I see everybody else. That doesn't mean other legends weren't incredible. It means I've never seen another player influence a match, a team and an entire generation of football the way Messi has. And today was another reminder. He didn't need a hat-trick. He didn't need to score from 40 yards. He just needed to be Lionel Messi. And suddenly Argentina looked like a completely different team. That's greatness. Not when everything depends on you. When everybody becomes better because you're there. I've played against great players. I've played with great players. But Messi is the only player I've ever watched and genuinely thought: 'This isn't normal.' The scary thing? Opponents know exactly what he's going to do. And they still can't stop it. That's why I don't waste my time with comparisons anymore. Some players become legends. Some players become icons. Messi became a category of his own. And after today's performance, if you're still asking me who the greatest footballer of all time is... You're asking the wrong question. The right question is: Will football ever produce another one like him?”

Earlier this week, the ERCOT Board approved the eligibility rules for Batch Zero, marking another important step in the transition to ERCOT's new batch interconnection framework. The rules have been under development for several months and provide the criteria for which projects will be included in Batch Zero and how they'll be treated. The batch framework replaces the legacy serial study process with a coordinated approach for evaluating large load interconnections. The framework now moves to the PUCT for final approval. Companies have until July 10 to submit materials and receive approvals under the current process. Beginning July 11, the Batch Zero Interconnection Study will be the only pathway for large loads seeking to connect to the ERCOT system. The next key milestone is ERCOT's notification to transmission and distribution providers regarding project inclusion and classification in Batch Zero, which is expected on August 7. That's when we expect greater clarity on the status of $GLXY's additional power under study at Helios as it relates to Batch Zero. As a reminder, $GLXY already has 1.63 GW of approved grid capacity at Helios, making it one of the largest 100% front-of-the-meter data center campuses in North America.

1/ Had the privilege of joining Kim Hochfeld from @StateStreetIM on stage at Solana Accelerate to discuss the newest product our partnership has brought to market: $SWEEP, a tokenized money market fund that lets institutions put their stablecoin floats to work, onchain, 24/7. Launching first on @Solana. Institutions are sitting on hundreds of billions in stablecoins earning nothing. We built a solution.

2/ $SWEEP was built from the ground up, with core institutional and defi use cases in mind. Stablecoins stay productive inside the fund — designed for 24/7 liquidity, not a workaround. The non-rebasing design means it's fully composable across DeFi from day one. And we're already accepting $SWEEP as margin collateral on @galaxyhq’s trading and lending desks.

3/ As of 3/31/26, @StateStreetIM brings $5T+ in AUM and decades of global cash management expertise. @galaxyhq built the infrastructure. And @Solana provides the rails: the finality, liquidity, and throughput institutional cash management actually needs. $SWEEP is what TradFi and crypto coming together, the great convergence, looks like in practice.
