A Coventry City fan has donated this commemorative 1987 medal to the family of Bradley Lowery, as an apology for what happened at the CBS Arena when Sunderland visited last week. The person who donated the medal believes the family could run a raffle in order to raise funds for the Bradley Lowery Foundation. After getting the gift, Bradley's family took to social media to say: "This unbelievable donation arrived in the post to us this week, and it has me truly speechless. To donate something so special purchased by someone so important, is so selfless and kind This donation did not arrive with a contact address so if this is from you, please let us know❤" Which ever Coventry fan donated this medal, you are a complete legend 👏🏻

❤️ My beautiful boy deserves to be remembered with love, not hate. ❤️ Yesterday, a Coventry fan used a photograph of Bradley to taunt Sunderland supporters. As Bradley’s mam, this is heartbreaking, especially as it’s one of my favourite photographs of him. Just look at that smile. I remember that day like it was yesterday. He was so happy, having so much fun. Those moments were precious because they were few and far between. So much of Bradley’s short life was spent battling cancer and enduring treatments no child should ever face. To see such a beautiful memory used in such a cruel way really does make my heart hurt. 💔 We are a football-loving family who follow Sunderland home and away. I’m all for football banter, but surely mocking a child who died from cancer is not banter? I hope the club takes appropriate action and the young lad’s family help him understand how hurtful his actions were. I don’t want hatred directed towards him, so please please don't, just for him to learn from this. Behind that photograph is a little boy who was loved beyond measure and a family who miss him every day. Thank you to everyone who has defended Bradley and shown us so much love. It means more than you know. ❤️ What some people don’t realise is that Bradley’s story didn’t end when his life did. Because of Bradley, children’s lives are being saved, hundreds of families have received vital support, and children facing unimaginable battles are being given hope. Through Super Brad’s Pad, families can escape hospital life, spend precious time together and make memories that last forever. That is Bradley’s legacy. The difference my little boy continues to make in this world. No amount of cruelty will ever take that away. So rather than let this photograph be remembered for hatred, I want it remembered for what it truly represents. My beautiful little boy, enjoying one of the happiest days of his life, with the biggest smile on his face. 💙 That is how I want the world to remember him. #CancerHasNoColours ❤️💙🤍💚🩷🖤🧡

“End of the Line” is the closing track on the Traveling Wilburys’ 1988 debut album Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1. The track was written by all five members (George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and Bob Dylan). Released as a single in early 1989, it reached No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 52 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 2 on the Album Rock Tracks chart. Roy Orbison died in December 1988, just weeks after the album’s release and before the video was filmed. In the clip, directed by Willy Smax and set on a moving train, his guitar sits in a rocking chair and a photo of him appears when his vocal lines play, turning the song into a quiet tribute to their late bandmate.

We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Calum McIntyre as our new manager. Calum is no stranger to Haig Avenue having been in the Chester dugout on a few occasions in the past. He was appointed Chester Manager in May 2022, and he lead them to two National League North play offs also  recording the club’s highest points totals in over a decade. They reached the 2024/25 Play-Off Final. He also guided the club to the FA Cup First Round Proper twice and set a club record of 23 away league games unbeaten. He was named National League North Manager of the Year in 2023 and received three Manager of the Month awards in his spell at Chester. Calum left Chester in February 2026 with his contract due to end at the end of the 2025/26 season having spent 14 years at the club starting out as a junior coach back in 2011. He started out in management at Runcorn Linnets at the age of just 26 enjoying a successful time at the club in a two year spell. At just 33 years old Calum will be one of the youngest managers to have stepped into the Haig Avenue hot seat. We all wish him every success in the role as he looks to guide the club up the table. Welcome to Southport Calum.
