Spoofing app tracking data? I wonder what tracking app they were using?
❗️ Cargo thieves have stolen more than $100M in hardware bound for US data centers since June, NBC News reports.
They hijack freight-broker accounts, post fake loads and send carriers malware links to take over their accounts too.
In one of the biggest heists, an SUV struck the security escort of a trailer carrying ~$10M in server rack components from California to Texas.
The trailer sped off. An app was tracking it, but its coordinates had apparently been spoofed.
In another, a sedan hit the off-duty police escorts of a $13M server load bound for Georgia, and the trailer drove on.
None of the equipment from either load has been found.
If you know someone who owns a trucking company, or own one yourself...check this out.
If you have ever considered having your own custom TMS built for your carrier operation, check this out. We can have you live in 30-60 days in your own custom system that you actually own. youtu.be/6fcFQr-AyCg

I went out and toured one the the plaintiff's facilities in OK a few years ago. I was very suprised to learn how much spot freight they were booking from the big brokers. Infact they picked up a less than profitable lane we gave back to the broker which was weird as it was a losing lane.
So worksites are now safe zones for illegal immigrants?
NEW: DHS says @ICEgov is not arresting illegal immigrants at worksites in Kansas— @SecMullinDHS saying, “ICE is not conducting worksite operations in Kansas. ICE law enforcement has conducted operations targeting heinous criminals including murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers and illegal aliens with final orders of removal.”
This comes as livestock associations in Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma released a joint statement pushing back on workplace enforcement operations and local news outlets are reporting that “some businesses in southwest Kansas are shutting their doors temporarily this week as federal immigration agents make arrests.”
Imagine that. DAT is now going after shippers directly. It’s a bit ironic that brokers provide the data that powers the new tool, which could put ultimately hurt their business.

I figured out why Diesel is so High and it is NOT why you think!!! nitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1wGWjlEYw…
A bit more about the Trucker Shutdown and Life nitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1qxoNYLam…
Reality sets in. He forgot to mention some things.
Fuel prices continue to rise, as will operating costs. These costs will be passed back to shippers, who will then pass them on to manufacturers. They will then raise their prices on consumer goods to cover the increased freight costs. Consumers will have to eat these added costs. Politicians will argue over who is responsible, then use that to campaign. Then we will do it again next election cycle.
Gas and diesel react to completely different global shocks: Gas spiked under Biden from post-COVID demand surges & the war in Ukraine. Diesel rose higher under Trump because Middle East tensions hit heavy crude refining hardest.
But diesel spikes hit much harder: because trucking, farming, and shipping power the supply chain, rising freight costs force retailers to raise consumer prices across the entire economy. That means we all pay more
Gas and diesel are two different markets:
• Gas spiked under Biden due to post-pandemic demand & Russian oil disruptions.
• Diesel hit higher levels under Trump due to Middle East conflict squeezing heavy crude refining.
Gas is passenger cars. Diesel is global freight.
There is NO trucker shutdown. nitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1XxygwXQN…
I know DoorDash drivers are independent contractors, but shouldnt they still require the person driving to be here lawfully?
I need an ambulance now for standby events but damn, they are expensive.
A few weeks ago, I had an idea to start an event medical company that provides BLS- and ALS-level care at sporting events, festivals, and conventions in southeastern TN. I was more interested in developing my own ePCR system. The more I looked into the legalities, the more I realized it was a pretty decent business model for this area. Insurance costs weren't too nutty; I could build the tech myself, and plenty of EMTs and Medics are looking for side work, so I registered the company, bought the insurance, built the tech, and hired a medical director. I placed an ad and quickly built a roster of nearly 40 providers who are ready to work. I built an agent that finds the events and emails an intro to our company to the event director. The first 10 emails received 7 replies. The first 20 emails led to two booked events and a bunch of plans for next year. Crazy. Looks like I am getting back into the medical field.

Nobody else is doing it like he is.

It's funny. I spent a few hours this morning trying to build out a quote automation tool in one of my client's TMS systems and instead built a version of Front, but on steroids. Shared inbox, load and email tagging and filtering, load linking, customer history with each email and one click quoting, all inside the TMS. I pushed the feature to the client with the note...I got carried away.
