The thing most people misunderstand is that God doesn’t just have one chosen people who go to heaven, and everybody else goes to hell. There’s the entire group of all people who trust in God‘s redeemer Jesus Christ for salvation from Adam and Eve all the way to the last person born on this earth. All of those people avoid hell and get to spend eternity with God. But then there are subdivisions within that group. There are the church age believers from Pentecost to the rapture, who are the bride of Christ, which does not apply to Elijah or David or Abel. And then there is the nation of Israel, which is God‘s chosen people as a whole, but those members of Israel, who reject the Messiah are not in that big group I mentioned at the beginning. The promises to Israel will be fulfilled to those who are Israelites, who also trust in Christ. The rest of the group is made up of people who don’t belong in either group because they were born before or after the church age and are not Jewish such as Noah, Melchizedek, and any other gentile believers in Christ, who meet thae criteria.

Was watching a new TV show. They’re still showing people destroying cell phones by snapping them in half. Does anybody know if this actually destroys the phone or prevents people from picking it up and being able to get information? I doubt it.

Our church youth group runs from September through April (the school year). Tonight is our opening. Please pray for me, because teenagers have never been my wheelhouse.

Today I am officiating a funeral for a brother in Christ who recently died. Tomorrow I am attending the wedding of my friend's eldest daughter. It is sometimes amazing to me when I think about the process of life happening all around us: people are born, they marry, they live their lives, they die.  All of it is meaningless without God.  It is as if you were watching ten actors in a stage play, and eight of them are simply wandering around ignoring the director completely. It's confusion and makes no sense. Ecclesiastes starts out with King Solomon saying "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity!" The word "vanity" means "pointless", "meaningless," or futile. The Hebrew word is "hebel" and it means "breath" or "vapor".  When you breathe out air, what happens to it next? It has no point, it has no function.  It's pointless.  Our lives are like that when we leave God out of the equation, and that was the point Solomon was trying to make: you can work hard in your life, you can pursue glory, riches, strength, and other things, but if you are ignoring God, the verdict of your life is that it was completely pointless.  Don't let your life be meaningless today: read God's Word, listen to what He says and obey.  And see what He does with you in His service!

If I could have one wish for a change to the English Language, it would be to completely eliminate the words "just gonna go ahead and" because they are filler words that add absolutely nothing to any sentence.

I paid $4.25/gal for gas this morning. That was the cheapest available. I know the President has taken steps to lower the cost of gas, but so far the steps haven't resulted in lower gas cost. When will they go down?

I pay X $8 a month so that I can type as much as I want without worrying about the 280 character limit. But X has decided that, even though I have paid for this ability for a few years now, every single time one of my tweet replies goes over the character limit, they must remind me of the fact. Not when I go over the limit, but when I move my mouse to click on "Reply" which moves "Reply" out of the way to make room for the warning bar which says "Only the first 280 characters will be visible on the timeline." with an X where the "Reply" button used to be. And now I have to click "Reply" AGAIN. I know, it's a first world problem but why, @elonmusk must I click TWICE to post what I have already paid for the privilege to post with ONE click?

Anybody who disagrees with the "vipers in diapers" comment by Voddie has never been around kids. Reasonable people with kids don't need to be taught that humans are born sinners. Nobody teaches them to be selfish, mean, lying, deceitful and inconsiderate. They're born that way.
