Another solid, if unspectacular, year on @TheNFBC.
More clunker DCs than usual, but made up for it with a Main Event league title and overall cashes in the Main, OC, & DC.
All told, won 4/18 leagues, cashed in 9/18.
Here's hoping I can have too many teams again next year.🤞🏻
Final player shares across 24 leagues (6 FAAB, 12 draft & hold, 6 best ball).
My overarching strategy this year was to draft Shohei Ohtani as frequently as possible and implement fallback plans as necessary. Randy Vasquez was Plan 425.
The Champions League Qualifier adds another level of strategy and excitement to @TheReal_NFC contests. For anyone playing (or considering) the Main Event, I strongly recommend throwing your hat in the ring with a CLQ entry.

2025 @TheReal_NFC Recap!
- won 5/16 leagues, cashed in 11/16
- my Champions League team was a disaster from day 1 (boo)
- lost the lead in my AC on the final day (ouch)
- pulled out an ME cash in the final weekend (yay); almost got a second (drat)
Overall, mildly disappointing
Shares! Enough of these are best ball leagues that it doesn't mean a whole lot, but I don't want to be left out of Opening Day shares sharing.
Across the hundreds of @TheReal_NFC leagues that had FAAB on Sunday night, there was only one person who bid on Luke Jackson: @PhilDussault27.
Happy to be home after four fantastic days of @TheReal_NFC drafts in Las Vegas. The highlight was definitely taking part in the first Champions League auction. As expected, it was an incredibly tough room. When the dust settled, here's what I had.
Another fun, fortunate season at @TheReal_NFC. Pending scoring changes...
- won 11/20 leagues, cashed in 16/20
- after 3 second-place finishes, got over the overall hump by winning the DC
- qualified (& extremely excited) for the Champions League
Can't wait for 2025!
This draft is always a lot of fun. In the same way that it's a lot of fun to get lost in a forest with no idea where to go or how to get there, while occasionally running into trees. The trees are all the injuries that will occur between now and when sane people start drafting.

In a 2022 article for @BaseballHQ, I found that 75% of relievers who post a SWSTR% > 13% and a BALL% < 34% in the first half go on to help rather than hurt fantasy baseball ratios (ERA & WHIP) in the second half. Here are the RPs who hit those marks this year, ordered by SWIMBA*.
My top player shares going into the season.
- Doyle a DC bench streamer; 0 FAAB shares
- Teoscar was a value for me before he signed; afterwards, the projection increased as much as the price
- Rodon: 🤷♂️
- Glasnow: 🤞
- Chapman: 💪
- Vaughn: 💰
An almost-annual look at the starting pitchers regarding whom projections & human ranks differ most widely. Limited to SPs in top 100 according to at least one of averaged ranks and aggregated projections.
Here are the 20 SPs that rankers like the most, relative to projections:
Finished the DC leg of the NFBC Champions League, with this as the foundation. The Champions League element definitely adds intensity & another level of strategy. Thanks to @batflipcrazy for spearheading what is going to be an awesome contest & @TheNFBC for running with it!
