No more computer lab means no more keyboards. Typing is a skill our kids will need to know for college and/or future careers. Help me give my students access to wireless keyboards for projects and practice! #donorschoose donorschoose.org/project/let…
Our second Homework Huddle of the year was a blast. We spent some time reading and getting homework completed and then got to build with some fun supplies! Can’t wait for next week!
Donations for this project are currently being doubled! 🎉 #donerschoose #teacher

One of my favorite ways to review for an assessment is with a friendly game of jeopardy! Team GOAT came out with the win, but every kid was engaged and participating which is the best! #math #engagementmatters
New grade level means new activities. This week we started our science unit on structures and functions and students had the opportunity to explore how muscles, joints, tendons, and bones work together to cause movement by making their own robotic finger. ❤️💙#mysteryscience
We have been wrapping up our year with the ABC countdown to summer! Today’s letter was I, and what better way to celebrate than the interview a 2nd grader! Our 1st graders came up with questions they wanted to ask about 2nd grade and had a chance to ask the panel their thoughts! – at Olathe, KS

It’s been an exciting week in first grade! Started the week off watching the eclipse, such fun time!
Then we had a visit from our friends in 4th grade who shared their informational texts about animals with us.
What a fun assembly to start our day with! Thank you @barnhill_ed and @FragilePlanetWC for sharing your animals and knowledge with our school! – at Kansas, USA

.@getnickwright reacts to the shooting at the Chiefs parade:
My heart hurts so bad right now. These tragedies are so commonplace that the news channels prep for how to handle situations ahead of time. Mass shootings should not be something we are planning for/expecting to happen. #weneedchange – at Olathe, KS
My favorite week of the year is here! Super Bowl spirit week. 😊🏈❤️💛

With all the crazy weather we’ve had lately we got lucky and were able to go on our final field trip yesterday. Our 1st graders enjoyed learning about being a teammate and how to take care of their muscles on our visit to The K! – at Kansas, USA
We also enjoyed touring the stadium and seeing where the boys in blue get ready for their games! – at Kansas, USA
