Strive refusing to buyback $SATA isn't a good thing.
Being “manipulated” in this context is literally the entire point of the product.
Both companies want their prefs to trade around $100. Buybacks help reinforce that stability, just as raising the yield provides another lever to support the price.
If Strive refuses to buy back $SATA, then $STRC becomes the obvious choice, as investors have greater confidence that downside risk will be actively managed.
$STRC > $SATA
PREDICTION:
Strive $ASST will NOT buy back $SATA or $SATS in the next 4 years*
Unlike wheezing $STRC. No one knows what its strength is (or isn't) because the price has been massively manipulated by Strategy.
* Setting aside any nominal-value "proof of" demonstration repurchase for strategic reasons.
@AdamBLiv @ColeMacro @IIICapital
$MSTR IS THE FASTEST HORSE.
WE HAVE ROCKET FUEL.
HODL ON!
You guys will happily pay @BritishHodl $420.69 a month to tell you to buy $ASST at the top, but won’t listen to me for FREE when I’m telling you to buy the greatest equity of all time, $MSTR?
Make it make sense.
Be smart.
Michael Saylor and Phong Le would NEVER do something like this.
This is why i only invest in $MSTR.

You all think im crazy.
But when i say all roads lead to $MSTR I MEAN IT.
Let’s make this happen! Something needs to change. I genuinely want to become a Metaplanet investor, but as things stand, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to justify investing. I want to see the company succeed, but these concerns need to be addressed.
-More communication between management and shareholders
-Update targets/goals for BTC accumulation. Prior ones are not realistic at this point.
-Weekly capital market updates (not quarterly)
-Give a clear update on new management compensation scheme.
-Clear criteria on share buybacks.
-Reduce financial complexity and leverage risk and provide clear stress tests showing what happens if Bitcoin falls 30%, 50% or more.
-Hire @BTCBULLRIDER
@gerovich @DylanLeClair @Metaplanet $MTPLF $MPJPY
This could’ve been $MPJPY if they’d locked in.
They could’ve been sitting on 100,000+ BTC by now.
Instead, management’s entered witness protection, 0 Bitcoin engines running, and @gerovich seems to have the only working engine in the company being the one in his getaway car.
Genuinely feel for the Metaplanet shareholders.
I HEAVILY disagree with @ColeMacro . Lets compare against some great entrepreneurs.
Buffett: “Our job is to increase per-share intrinsic value at a rate greater than the S&P 500.”
Bezos: “Our ultimate financial measure… is free cash flow per share.” Managing the stock price directly is “a silly approach.”
Saylor: “Our goal is to grow Bitcoin per share.”
Elon: “Shares only go up in value as a function of how much useful product those companies produce.”
Cole: “Our long term objective is exclusively tied to stock returns. Bitcoin per share is simply a short-term KPI.”
So the first four are optimizing the thing that creates value. Cole is optimizing the market’s pricing of that value. Those are not the same decision framework, especially when the two diverge.
Build a great business and the stock price will follow. $MSTR $STRC.
I still remain very bearish on $ASST.
Its premium has compressed from around 2.20x to 1.59x mNAV. While some may view this as cheap, I’ll continue to reiterate that a small market cap is NOT a business model.
With $SATA now trading $5 below par and $SATS dropping like it's hot, I doubt they will be making anymore significant $BTC purchases anytime soon.
At 1.6x mNAV and no clear way to acquire more $BTC, I still believe $ASST is overvalued.
Gotta love people on here always assuming the worst case scenario.
Have you ever thought it MIGHT actually just be for personal reasons?😂
$MSTR CFO just resigned. A sudden departure like that is almost always a huge red flag for any company. Think Enron, WorldCom, Lehman Brothers, etc
Disappointed nobody asked management on the rationale behind the $STRC buybacks at $99.
More importantly, will they continue buying at $99 if $STRC reaches par and subsequently dips below it again?
I think we need clarity on the thinking behind this strategy.
