I don’t think people looking at this understands how impressive this is
If you want to see how you compare I’ll put the link for the Athlete Assessment. Completely free and very detailed in the results
You’re on a deadlift platform in a commercial gym
Is it acceptable to drop the barbell from the top?

Debate: speed kills. Strength kills harder.
You've heard it a hundred times. Speed kills. If strength were king, powerlifters would be the fastest athletes alive.

Your rows are too polite.
One of the biggest mistakes lifters make is being too docile with their accessory exercises. A big deadlift comes from fast, aggressive pulling.
Today's Rx: DB row · multiple low-rep sets, explosive

A good peak for a powerlifting meet means you hit a number on the platform that you’ve never hit in training

The best way to get better at pull-ups.
Pull-ups are one of the hardest bodyweight exercises because you can't easily adjust the resistance.
Today's Rx: Assisted pull-ups · lightest band, clean reps

Stop playing your sport in the weight room.
I see athletes spend 20 minutes stretching and 15 on stability work, then call it sport-specific training.

8 sets of 3 this morning. I love it, and it works.
For your compound exercises, ask yourself why do sets of 10? If the last reps near failure matter most, wouldn’t it make more sense to skip the first 7 reps and only do reps that “matter most”
Good news it is as simple as adding load and starting the set near failure. Better news, “near failure” isn’t even necessary. You’re using junk volume that leads to a bunch of un needed fatigue which has led at lot of y’all to believe doing more than 2 sets are “diminishing returns”
The bottom line, people are pushing reps near failure to recruit the high threshold motor units and your bigger stronger muscle fibers.
What they don’t tell you is you can recruit those same fibers simply using high effort. A max vertical jump for example, and sprinting will both recruit those magical muscle fibers. But they are too fast for hypertrophy. You want the speeds to slow down without sacrificing your effort. So you add load…simply apply high effort to moderate to heavy loads and you end up accumulating high quality reps that lead to hypertrophy without all the wasted energy
Padded test numbers hurt your athletes.
The most important part of testing is consistency. The tests themselves take little skill.
Today's Rx: Each test · 2 attempts, log best and average
