Great turnout for our two-day feeder school tryouts. Thanks to everyone who came out and gave their best efforts. The new Lions Academy will launch tomorrow with 65 players covering 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels. St Viator Basketball - building a better tomorrow!

Your Lions had it going for sure, then we slipped a little at the end…
But we still took down a 4,800 student juggernaut against Stevenson HS in a head2head battle!
We were led by Drew (35) and Declan (36)…
Our best is yet to come, keep an eye on this team!!

Yes, that is Saint Viator at #15 in this week's 2A rankings.
We are a resilient team who STRIVEs for excellence.
Wishing them luck this weekend at what is looking to be a very wet Bill Dawson Invite.
The Lion’s 6’2 senior guard Dawson Charles is ranked #22 in the 2027 class by Chicagoland Hoops report. Great things ahead for this unsigned senior.

The start of the school year at Colegio San Viator in Bogotá began with joyful festivals, centered on the Eucharist and the lively mission that comes from our charism. #AdoredAndLovedBeJesus viatorians.com/a-living-char…

This is what we teach…great presentation-makes it simple.
Do you use External Cues in your coaching?
Much of what I used to do (and what I see other coaches doing) involved talking about how the shooter moved their body. Now I talk about how I want the shooter to move the ball.
A subtle but meaningful change.

Dave Love is one of the best shooting coach I have witnessed. He has a simple approach grounded in basic principles. This one is gold!
This is a great example of the cause and effect in shooting, and we need to make sure we are fixing the cause otherwise our time is wasted.
If you or a player you are working with snaps their wrist off-line, don't work on the followthrough. Work on the set point.
How the hand is positioned on the ball at the set point is going to play a significant role in how the wrist snaps. Being out of position at the set point often causes the off-line wrist snap.
