Dhirubhai Ambani University Concludes Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Unveils Vision for the Future On August 5, 2026, Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU), formerly DA-IICT, held the closing ceremony of its Silver Jubilee celebrations at its campus in Gandhinagar. The event brought together alumni, founding and former faculty and staff members, and DAU's current faculty, staff, students, and officials. The ceremony opened with an inaugural address by Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, Director General, DAU, who expressed gratitude to everyone for their contributions over the university's 25-year journey. He noted that the day marked the culmination of a year-long celebration and announced the launch of two special books, one on the biodiversity of the campus and the other documented the entrepreneurial journey of alumni. Welcoming everyone, Dr G. Venkatesh, Director, School of Technology, DAU, shared that the university has over 2,700 students on campus this year, and for the first time, over 1,000 students have joined in a single year. Envisioning 4,000 students on campus by 2029, he added that the university is building new infrastructure on campus and plans to establish a School of Finance and a School of Healthcare, both integrating technology into their respective domains. One of the key highlights of the event was the announcement of the Distinguished Alumni Award for Shri Pavitar Singh (B.Tech. ICT, Batch of 2004). A tribute was paid to members who were once part of the DAU family but are no longer with us today, followed by a felicitation of the founding and long-serving faculty and staff members. The honoured faculty and staff then shared their memories and reflections from their years at the university. The Digital Archive was launched during the ceremony, with Prof. Madhumita Mazumdar, convenor of the Digital Archive Project, giving an overview of the initiative before Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay formally inaugurated it. A special exhibition of some of the digitised material was also put up on display. The occasion also marked the official establishment of the DAU Press, with the publication of two books. The first, “Campus Wings”: A Field Guide to the Birds of Dhirubhai Ambani University, originated as the final thesis project of Marmika Gameti, a student of the MDes (Communication Design) programme. The second, “Where Ideas Take Off”, is a compilation of success stories of 21 start-ups founded by DAU alumni. The book was a collaborative project in which 15 B. Tech and M. Tech students interviewed the alumni and converted their stories into narratives under the guidance of the team of faculty and staff, which were compiled into the publication. The event also had a panel discussion on “Learning to Leadership: Alumni on Campus Life, Careers and Change”, which brought together alumni to pause, reflect and share their experiences. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Sanjay Srivastava, where he thanked everyone for their contributions in making the event a success.

We recently onboarded a few users onto our Battery swap network in a new locality Ch Annaram few miles away from our Aitipamula base. Today, we localized the energy generation required to serve them, and more to follow there ! @GreenKWh ++;

300 GWh of clean power lost in 3 Months ... That too during an energy crisis that is just beginning to unleash .. this is a sin guys! Come, join the @GreenKWh community and help us store more KWhs and avert this !
India's renewable problem isn't generation. It's distribution. As per a recent report from @ember_energy, 300 GWh of clean power was curtailed in Q1 2026 in India — not consumed, not stored, just... GONE. Because we're building solar farms faster than we're building the pipe to move the power. Centralized grids have a ceiling. The answer is decentralized energy infra — local generation, local storage, local distribution. That's the model we're proving at @GreenKwh: ⚡ Solar-powered battery storage hubs 🤝 Local community-centric distribution channel. Every @GreenKWh consumed in our model is a kWh the grid doesn't have to carry. India doesn't need a bigger pipe. It needs thousands of smaller ones. #EnergyAccess #Cleantech #DePIn #SolarEnergy #Decentralization #IndiaEnergy

The next great Clean energy distribution network won't be built tower by tower. It is to be built from the grassroots. India has 10,000+ Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Each one is a ready-made trust network — thousands of members, shared infrastructure, collective decision-making. Over the last couple of weeks, we had conversations with 25 FPO CEOs across 3 districts, representing ~20,000 farmers, about solar-powered EV infrastructure. Shared with them how we have insulated our #Aitipamula @GreenKWh community users from the global fuel crisis. So, the question wasn't "will they adopt clean energy?" It was "why hasn't anyone brought it to them yet?" The fuel crisis is real. The grid is unreliable. But the cooperative model is strong. That's the unlock. Follow @GreenKwh if you believe grassroot energy access is the next frontier.

Earlier this week, when I was at our #KattangurSvachSakthiKendra in Aitipamula, I was seeing these small TVS XLs vehicles with portable ice-cream freezers breeze past the rural roads around the NH65 route. We are always on the look on how our 2kWh @GreenKWh packs can power more livelihood usecases apart from regular e-mobility, and this is exactly something that has been on my mind for quite some time. An e-bike with a portable freezer that is powered by the same #swappable battery pack ! I finally managed to stop one guy after 2 other missed attempts and got to know that he is a migrant from the North and he is doing this on daily wage basis, earning Rs. 400 ($5 USD) a day. Rs.400 for toiling all day, in the already scorching April, and he surely didn't sound content with it. A portable freezer integrated to the EV can help benefit folks like these earn some additional income offsetting the fuel costs, alongside give us some high! Thoughts?

smart batteries are our #realworldassets powering EV adoption at the grassroots, working on a purpose, along with delivering economic value from the swap fees! We are looking to deploy more of these assets and scale our DePin network, DM if you would like to contribute and be part of the @GreenKWh story!
The world is battling a fuel crisis, which appears to worsen in the days to come but our ⁦@GreenKWh⁩ battery swap network users in #Aitipamula are insulated from this crisis already. Our Solar charged smart batteries are giving them the much needed peace of mind:-) Amen!
