Not a Copper Mine — Recovering Copper from Etching Wastewater
What if a wastewater stream could recover nearly USD 15,000 worth of copper every day?
In this project, Sunresin’s continuous ion exchange system treats industrial etching wastewater with copper concentrations as high as 2,000 ppm. Through selective adsorption by Sunresin chelating resin, the final effluent copper concentration can be reduced to below 0.5 ppm, achieving a removal rate of over 99.99%.
But the real value is not only removing copper from wastewater.
It is recovering copper and turning it back into a usable resource.
With multi-column continuous operation, the system automatically completes adsorption, washing, desorption, and regeneration, helping transform wastewater treatment from a cost center into a resource recovery opportunity.
Watch the video to see how Sunresin turns industrial wastewater into resource value through advanced separation technology.

Anthocyanin production is not just about extracting more pigment.
For industrial producers, the real challenge often begins after extraction.
Crude botanical extracts can contain large amounts of sugars, organic acids, proteins, pectins and other plant-derived impurities. If these components are not effectively removed, they can affect pigment purity, color performance, product stability, concentration efficiency and even downstream spray drying.
This is where adsorption resin technology becomes critical.
Sunresin works with anthocyanin producers to develop purification processes based on the actual raw material, target product and production conditions. From blueberry, black rice and purple sweet potato to grape skin, black carrot and other botanical sources, different feedstocks require different resin and process strategies.
𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗻’𝘀 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗻. 𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲-𝘂𝗽, 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
A well-designed resin purification process can selectively capture anthocyanins while removing much of the unwanted sugar and other hydrophilic impurities before desorption. This helps create a cleaner anthocyanin-rich fraction and improves the conditions for concentration, solvent recovery and drying.
For Sunresin, the goal is always the same: helping customers move from laboratory extraction to a purification process that can operate reliably at industrial scale.

Metal removal is only part of the story. The bigger opportunity is selective metal recovery.
Across #hydrometallurgy, metal processing, PCB manufacturing, electroplating and chemical production, many process streams still contain metals that need to be selectively separated — either to meet discharge requirements or to recover valuable resources.
@sunresin 's Seplite® iminodiacetate chelating resin portfolio provides high selectivity for target metal ions, even in complex solutions containing high concentrations of competing salts.
Four products are now available in this series:
SEPLITE® LSC710
SEPLITE® Monojet™ LSC7100 MDS
SEPLITE® Monojet™ LSC7100
SEPLITE® Monojet™ LSC7105
From conventional macroporous structures to Monojet™ uniform-particle technology, these resins are developed for different separation, purification and recovery requirements.
And the applications go far beyond conventional wastewater treatment:
𝑪𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒓, 𝒄𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚
𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒚 𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓

The goal is not simply to remove metals.
It is to selectively separate the right metal from the right stream — and, wherever possible, turn what was once considered waste into a recoverable resource.
This is where chelating resin technology is creating increasing value across modern industrial separation processes.

🇮🇳 At IFAT India 2026, let’s talk about ZLD.
As industries push for higher water reuse and lower discharge, Zero Liquid Discharge (#ZLD) is becoming increasingly important.
But before membrane concentration or evaporation, one challenge must be controlled: hardness.
Calcium and magnesium can lead to scaling, membrane fouling, reduced heat-transfer efficiency, and higher operating costs.
𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒚 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉-𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒁𝑳𝑫 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.
@sunresin provides advanced weak acid cation and chelating resin solutions for deep hardness removal, helping protect downstream membranes and evaporators, reduce scaling risk, and improve overall ZLD efficiency.

Low-grade and remote #gold resources are attracting more attention, but not every project can justify a large fixed recovery plant from the beginning.
For scattered deposits, tailings, oxidized ores, heap leach solutions, or infrastructure-limited sites, flexibility can be just as important as recovery performance.
This is where resin-based gold recovery becomes a practical option.
Gold-selective #resin can capture gold-cyanide complexes from pregnant leach solution and concentrate them through an adsorption, elution, and regeneration cycle. Compared with conventional fixed infrastructure, a modular resin-based system can offer a more flexible route for selected low-grade or remote projects.
Sunresin SepGold™ is a mobile modular resin-based gold recovery system designed to bring recovery capacity closer to the resource.
𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙙™ 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙜𝙤𝙡𝙙-𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮, 𝙛𝙞𝙭𝙚𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙣 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧 𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙡𝙤𝙬-𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙨.
The system can be supplied as a pre-assembled modular unit, helping reduce site construction requirements and shorten commissioning time. Its scalable design also allows capacity to be expanded as the project develops.
Resin-based recovery is not a universal replacement for activated carbon, but it provides an important technology option where modularity, kinetics, footprint, water use, or deployment flexibility matter.
From feasibility testing to modular system implementation, Sunresin supports mining customers with resin selection, process design, equipment configuration, automation, commissioning, and technical service.
For low-grade, remote, or modular gold projects, the right recovery technology can help convert suitable leach solutions into recoverable value.

🇮🇳 Mumbai, we are ready. #IFAT India 2026 is almost here!
After months of preparation, the final countdown has begun.
As Sunresin’s largest overseas exhibition in the second half of 2026, IFAT India is an important stage for us to connect with the rapidly growing water and environmental markets in India and beyond.
Our team is ready.
Our technologies are ready.
And we are looking forward to meeting customers, partners, and industry professionals in Mumbai.
At IFAT India 2026, Sunresin will showcase our advanced ion exchange and adsorption technologies across three key areas:
𝑨 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒐 𝒐𝒇 𝑰𝒐𝒏 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 & 𝑨𝒅𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒔
𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 & 𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒂𝒍
𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒇𝒇𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 & 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚
But an exhibition is about much more than displaying products and technologies.
