"Es imposible superar a STEAM mientras siga siendo independiente y sin estar en Bolsa"
Y he aquí LA CLAVE y que he escuchado más de 1 vez:
Ausencia de inversores a los que contentar + gente que sabe y se preocupa del consumidor/videojuego = Libertad y Seguridad
Can anyone actually beat Steam on PC?
According to Newzoo analyst Emmanuel Rosier, it’s pretty much impossible as long as Valve stays independent and privately owned.
“Steam is difficult to avoid,” He points out that publishers have tried to leave Steam before, only to come back. “10 or 20 years ago, the big publishers decided to have their own platform distribution on PC, and then they almost all went back to Steam.”
EA and Ubisoft are clear examples, and even Blizzard now sells Overwatch on Steam.

please never shy away from re-comm’ing your favorite artists.
ive only had 1–2 over the past two months, but their support alone have helped sustain me financially, keeping me afloat after finishing my master's studies while i continue seeking for employment in this rough times.

Update regarding community safety on VGen
UNETHICAL BROKERS:
Happy to say we’ve identified many previously unconfirmed JRUhub brokers, affiliates, and other unethical group accounts and they have all been banned for misrepresenting the nature of their profiles and services, intentionally inviting bad actors, and ban evading.
Big thank you to everyone in our community who has helped to investigate, report on-site, and provide detailed proof that our team were then able to review and take action on. Thank you for helping us keep the community safe!
REMAINING BROKERS:
In the short term, broker discovery has been rebalanced, their withheld funds processed through VGen Payments may not be released until after a commission is complete, and all brokers will continue to not have any invite codes. If any broker accounts mistype themselves as an individual or studio, they will now be suspended for at least 1 month immediately upon discovery.
We are still evaluating whether additional long-term actions are required.
Please do not assume all brokers are bad. However, if you do see suspicious behaviour, please continue to report them on-site and we will investigate.
ARTIST INVITE CODES:
There is now a hard limit of 2 unused artist invite codes per Verified Artist at any given time. If you earn more through a challenge or special event drop and you already have 2 in your dashboard, you won’t receive any more.
ARTIST CODE GIVEAWAYS:
Effective Nov 1, 2026, general contests, raffles, or applications are no longer allowed, even if recipients are screened. This is due to the increasing sophistication of groups who fraudulently misrepresent themselves as individuals.
If you see someone hosting a raffle or are in violation of our Artist Code Policy in any way, please report them on-site with a screenshot or link to their violating post and we’ll investigate. Their first offence will result in a warning before more severe administrative actions may be taken for repeated offences, including losing verification status and suspensions.
Please see our full VGen Artist Code Policy here: help.vgen.co/hc/en-us/articl…

remember this, artists!
people who complain about your pricing were likely never going to pay for your work in the first place even if you DID lower them, so what they say is just free publicity and advertising! :3

October 23rd is officially a day in the books for Ethical Artists!
WE FUCKING DID IT!!!
I'm so proud of the community for standing up and not backing down about the #jruhub problem happening on @_VGen_
I know this has been an on going issue that has been brought up since before EAH was even created, but after 8 long months of documenting everything we finally were able to provide Vgen enough evidence to link these accounts together to allow them to Suspend/Ban the accounts under their terms of service.
This work won't be over, #jruhub will continue to try to get onto the platform(s) with new accounts, and they will definitely try to move platforms, Keep your eye peeled and keep reporting!
I have thought about this too and I REALLY think vgen should let us artist show average prices too? Most artists divide our prices in smth like "tiers" of complexity so showing only the starting price can be a little deceptive 🥹 even if you already know how vgen works
Just saw a stunning full illustration, VGEN listing $60
> peek inside request form
> actual starting price $90 for an icon
> full body $200
> design complexity fee between $40 to ONE FIFTY WITH A PLUS
> same for bg ($40-150+)
> VTubers count as commercial x2
Please price for your time and skill, but man it feels a bit misleading 😬
