Jumping in before people start piling on, Lando is always someone who blames himself first and foremost. He didn’t blame the car last year, he repeatedly blamed himself and his inability to adapt until Stella had to step in and say he was too harsh on himself.

some people are really quick to throw around some very serious accusations and label him racist and xenophobic based on posts that deliberately take his comments out of context and twist them into something he never said.
the question was how he avoids getting sick this late in the season, especially with two drivers currently ill (now three). he explained that he's always been a picky eater and has never really been one to try lots of different foods, preferring to stick to what he knows. he also spoke about taking precautions when travelling, including being careful with water after having been ill in mexico and brazil before because of the water. using bottled water to brush his teeth is just one of those precautions he's chosen to take to avoid going through that again.
the "funky foods" comment was never about mexico, brazil or any specific country. he was talking about his own eating habits and NOT taking a dig at either country, unlike what those accounts are trying to make it seem. just earlier this week, he was talking about mexican food as one of his favourite things about the calendar.
