The best book I've read this year (so far) is the history of the Enlightenment by Ritchie Robertson. A sober, analytical and non-polemical intellectual history, brilliantly structured and argued.

For anyone interested, a mass will be said for our friend Dovie Eisner on Sunday Oct. 11 at 4:30 pm in Princeton, NJ.
It will be the normal mass held by the Aquinas Institute in the University Chapel (which looks more like a cathedral) to be kindly be said for his soul's repose.

We chose @elonuniversity because we genuinely thought we wouldn’t have to deal with this kind of BS at a school in the South.
And especially as a Jewish family, we thought we wouldn’t have to worry about the anti-Jewish and anti-Israel sentiments that seem to so often come along with this kind of DEI nonsense on college campuses.
College students should be exposed to different ideas, challenged, and taught how to think critically. They should NOT be required to categorize themselves by their identities, “privilege,” and supposed position within systems of power.
This is not what education should look like.
Hey, @elonuniversity, ICYMI, the Department of Justice published guidance on exactly this issue over a year ago. You take federal funding. Taxpayer dollars cannot be used to create a racially hostile learning environment.

In 12 days, @SpanbergerForVA's parole board could release the infamous Ocean View rapist who terrorized Hampton Roads. He was sentenced to life plus 273 years. Detectives described him as one of the most violent sexual predators they'd ever encountered.
Under Virginia law, he should've never qualified for parole. His terrified victims have reached out as they endure this unjust revictimization, and I will always stand by them and elevate their voices.
Contact @GovernorVA's office. Demand they keep VADOC inmate No. 1167925 behind bars and hold the parole board accountable.
