NJ Reentry Corporation invites Passaic County families to join us for a Back-to-School Community Event in partnership with the Paterson Fire Department Public Education Division, Paterson Police Community Affairs Division, Bronze Heat, the Paterson Museum, Twin Rivers Recovery, and Turning Point.
Families can receive free backpacks and school supplies on a first-come, first-served basis while enjoying an afternoon of community activities and resources.
The event will feature food and drinks, iceys, music and entertainment, giveaways, a resource fair, and family-friendly activities. The Paterson Fire Department will provide fire-safety education, a fire truck will be on site, and Paterson Police will lead community policing activities.

While I respect Dr. Overton’s experience as a physician, I have strong concerns about her nomination to be FDA Commissioner. Her lack of managerial experience does not prepare her well for leading a large organization that is already dealing with staffing and morale issues. Additionally, Dr. Overton’s active role in last week’s nonsensical vaccine executive order calls into question her commitment to standing up for sound science and protecting children’s health. That alone is almost disqualifying.
