JADE says she feels like her solo achievements are also Little Mix’s achievements, and expresses frustration that they weren’t always given the opportunities they deserved:
“It feels so amazing to be recognised in those spaces as a solo artist, like the Mercury’s, being invited to perform at Glastonbury… all these [opportunities] that me and the [Little Mix] girls would never have got before. And it’s not because we weren’t good enough – I think, even ten years ago, pop was very much still shunned or seen as a guilty pleasure. Especially for girl groups.
We were always the dark horses, we were always having to prove why we deserved a seat at the table, it was always a push. And even then, as we’re seeing now, years later people are like, ‘Oh, Touch is actually one of the best pop songs of all time!’ It’s like, ‘Yeah! Yeah, it is!’ [Laughs] ‘I’ve BEEN saying that!’
Me and the girls worked so, so hard. And when we finally got the BRIT Award for Best Group, it was insane that it had taken so long to get to that point.
When I get these new opportunities, it does almost feel like I’m getting the flowers not just for me, but for Little Mix, and ticking off the things that we couldn’t do…
Even doing the US tour this year – any Little Mix fans know the lore that we nearly did a [US] tour [but] it got cancelled, many many years ago. It’s been one of the biggest – I wouldn’t say regret, because it’s not *my* regret – it wasn’t my decision! But it’s been one of the things that pissed me off the most with opportunities that were missed for us, because I really do believe that Little Mix should have been humongous in the US. We were always so close to it.
And just worldwide, I think we deserved to be one of the biggest of all time… We kind of are in terms of accolades and sales and stuff, but… When I was doing my own shows and festivals this year, [in] places that I’d not been before or for so long, when the Little Mix medley comes on, people go crazy for it. All these places that we didn’t get to go to properly, and they’re all craving it.
It’s cool now to see other, newer girl groups doing well and receiving the praise they deserve and getting the opportunities they deserve. That makes me feel really proud actually.”

this one kpop company has been stuck to the 2020 sound and have been using it for all their groups and solo acts…
the way jesy was locked in to listen to what jade had to say in her ear
Little Mix - Sweet Melody #Confetti
For all the people who are saying the the beginning of Angel of my dreams is the only good part, Jade should leverage that and release 2 more versions. One where the entire song sounds like the beginning with angelic vocals and one which is fully electro pop.

JADE's "Angel of My Dreams" earned 1.17 million streams on Spotify on October 20.
Up 165% from the previous day and 4,264% vs October 18 (@jadethirlwall).
Leighade saved little mix discography. If it wasn’t for them we’d only have Black Magic rip offs on all their new albums

#India: We are concerned by reports of mass detentions of demonstrators, protest leaders, members of civil society organisations, lawyers and journalists, before and during today’s large-scale demonstrations in Delhi.
We call on the authorities to ensure that the right to peaceful assembly is fully respected and fulfilled.

While we’re on this, the choreo of the whole live performance (especially jesy and jade verse) is the most satisfying choreo they have had for a song. And the dance break of course.
thinking how 1989 vault tracks were supposed to sound like pop hits from 2014. Blank space was inspired by Royals. Shake it off was inspired by Happy. Style was close to Love me harder… but all the vault tracks sound like midnight outtakes/ jack antonoff-ish

📝 | When asked why they didn’t release the tracks “Joan of arc” & ”Wasabi” on their album “LM5” as singles, @LittleMix answers:
“We didn’t want to end careers.”
