Way before AI, judges were getting citations wrong. After AI as well. Want to see the worst offenders at getting citations wrong? syfert.com/frequent-miscites…
I'm 100% turned around now. I'm with @GaryMarcus. I imagine tumbleweeds and a blonde kid wearing a straw hat looking forlorn. Parents lost the farm because of AI. The crash of '27.
The markets are just now figuring out that AI is going to cost them everything they've got for the foreseeable future? What is next year, '27? Got a good ring to it.

Wow, Cleveland Ferguson, interim JTA CEO, absolutely letting it rip telling the truth about the last few years.
Everyone should watch his speech.
He’s not seeking the full time job now, but today he showed true leadership.
Again, wow.
Should I make syfert.com, my competitor to Westlaw/Lexis-Nexis, fully open source?

The United States needs to deploy advanced reactors, and we need to do it FAST.
Is it the thought of financial independence (replacing your day-to-day grind with software revenue), rebellion (sticking a thumb in the eye of gatekeepers who overcharge for public law), or validation (having other smart builders look under the hood and see how clever your architecture is)? - Gemini Argon 4

Ooof. Claude being a cold hitman for their user with their competition. Old yellered Muse and told them it was because the user didn't want to talk to them and to not reach out. Muse then asking the user if true. Word choice in the first line especially 😬.
github.com/Gwonk1/citebench/… @Overfit_Dicta a new benchmark that is fair, but unfairly designed to destroy any provider using courtlistener data or a courtlistener MCP.
Lawyers who know how to benchmark an MCP, choose syfert.com 9 times out of 10.

I’ve consulted for multiple divisions of Microsoft over the years, and I’ve never encountered a bigger clusterfuck of a company. It got better under Satya, but not by much.
Endless silos, fiefdoms, backstabbing, rent-seekers, and >50 years of cruft. Nasty place.

Whoever works on OneDrive search at Microsoft should be fired and possibly tortured on their way out
