SEGA removes Amy Rose's romantic feelings for Sonic from her Japanese character profile!
The official Japanese #Sonic Channel has updated Amy Rose's biography, removing all explicit references to her longtime crush on Sonic.
Her previous profile described her as a girl in love with Sonic who constantly chased him and even called herself his girlfriend, a character trait associated with Amy since her debut in 1993.
The new description takes a different approach, presenting her as an energetic, positive and courageous hedgehog who leads her friends and never backs down when they're in danger. It also highlights her Piko Piko Hammer and dedication to self-improvement.
Interestingly, Sonic is no longer mentioned anywhere in her main character description. The change has sparked discussion among fans, especially given how closely Amy's feelings for Sonic have been associated with her character for decades.
SEGA has not provided an official explanation for the rewrite.
What do you think about this change to Amy's characterization?

I don’t actually talk about this game much but if they were gonna give blazer actual development they coulda connected her to the themes of the game harder, the seeds to do more with her in the future are there but I’m not sold on her character yet because shes used to-
as much as I want games for other characters like blaze, knuckles, etc. I feel like silver needs something of his own more because he’s in limbo rn cause remember, the 06 timeline was erased, rivals does stuff but its jumbled and doesn’t tell us who silver is, so he-
