I always thought Covid 19 was (whether intentionally or not) a perfect solution for a government. An illness that had a high mortality rate for the elderly and disabled, the very people who cost the government the most money.
The government’s management of Covid 19 did nothing to change my mind. The ‘protective ring’ around care homes didn’t exist. Care home beds were rented by the NHS and they were forced to take in whatever people they were given, even those who were untested. PPE came way too late; residents were ‘strongly’ encouraged to have do not attempt resuscitation orders and even more macabre, emergency health care plans which stated they were not for hospital admission. Isolated from friends and family, they were lambs to the slaughter.
6 years on from that, we are now told to stock up and prepare for emergency situations. Extreme weather, water shortages, blackouts, war and whatever else, and once again I sit and wonder where this magical protective ring is.
How the fcuk is an 80 year old supposed to navigate a blackout when she can barely make it through the day without falling anyway? How the fcuk is a 10 year old with asthma or a 50 year old with COPD supposed to manage in extreme temperatures?
If your government believes that the UK is going to experience emergency situations, why aren’t you issuing those in greatest need emergency survival packs, mylar blankets, bottled water, etc?
Aside from scaring the crap out of half the population and providing entertainment for the other half, wtf are you actually doing to help our vulnerable navigate this potential crisis that you have helped create? @andyburnham @wesstreeting

What are peoples thoughts on the November 20th? protests?
On one side, I see people saying that we should just let the left tear up the country 'leave them to it' 'they asked for this'
On the other hand, some people are saying we should stop them because, well, they'll be smashing our country up.
Personally, I don't need to see our country on fire and our history decimated, to know how bad things are, but if the right do turn out, they will undoubtably be blamed for turning a 'peaceful' protest violent.
So, the question remains, do we watch our country burn, or take steps to protect it?

The European Union is attempting to take Americas places as the Western super power.
They undermined @DonaldTrump attempts to bring the Ukrainian / Russian war to an end. They need this war to continue.
They turned their back on America when they went to war with Iran. They want America to be kept busy, they want America to lose their standing around the world and they want America to go broke.
They have allowed millions of immigrants to come here for their votes.
They will send all who would vote against them to Ukraine. Veterans, Nationalists, young able men.

That's the plan.

We are witnessing profound demographic change across Britain, and the leader of Reform thinks the meaning of English identity is a subject to be brushed aside because he’s scared of being called a few unpleasant names.
Englishness is NOT an academic debate.
The English are a historic people. We have our own ancestry, heritage, culture, traditions and national identity.
Incredibly, Farage disagrees with that.
My view, and Restore Britain's view, is clear.
We are not simply a collection of passport holders living within a geographical boundary.
And acknowledging the existence of the historic English people does not mean denying that others can develop a genuine attachment and belonging to our nation, but that does not make them ethnically English.
A government can print a passport, sadly we all know that - it CANNOT falsely manufacture centuries of history or ancestral roots.
The historic English people have a home - it’s called England, and we have nowhere else to go.
And yes, in that home, the English are being demographically replaced. That’s just a fact. It’s happening all over Britain, it’s happened all over Britain. Go to East London, Rochdale, Luton, Birmingham, Blackburn, Bradford. I could go on.
This is NOT an academic debate.
This is our home, or at least it was.
Farage is simply not the man to save it.
You cannot claim to defend a nation when you refuse to even acknowledge its historic people because you might get your feelings hurt.
