One week ago, @tylerbowyer & @TPAction moved $3,344,411.00 from their Federal account to their Arizona account. $547,350.00 of that went to Sen. @JakeHoffmanAZ. They designated $2,797,061.00 for video ads. All of this spending is for content based on these AZ Senate subpoenas.⤵️
Hoffman knows he can’t unilaterally issue & enforce subpoenas as a committee chair. At least according to Hoffman.
Go look at this amendment to HB2745 which HE offered. He knew chairmen can’t unilaterally act to enforce subpoenas so he wanted to add that power! But 2745 didn’t become law.
No worries for lil Jake, just pretend like you can do it I guess. Laws be damned.
Also you know who else seems to think this whole thing is ethically dicey? Hoffman’s GOP colleagues.
This picture says a lot. Hoffman was stuck with Rogers & Finchem at his presser. Where were the other senators? Go poke around and you’ll see how few of them are stepping up to defend Hoffman as this all comes to light.
