Angenommen, wir wären von Anfang an elektrisch gefahren – und jemand würde heute vorschlagen, Verbrenner einzuführen: Kein Diesel-Dieter dieser Welt würde das ernsthaft unterstützen.
Die angeblichen Vorteile:
- Eventuell höhere Reichweite
- Eventuell höhere „Ladeleistung“ (Tankvorgang)
Die Nachteile:
- Höhere Gesamtkosten
- Deutlich höhere Brandgefahr
- Lauter
- Luftverschmutzung
- Gestank
- Tanker mit gefährlichen Stoffen unterwegs
- LKWs, die brennbare Flüssigkeit transportieren
- Niedrigerer Komfort
- Mehr Vibrationen
- Geringere Effizienz
- Keine Rekuperation
- Kein Laden zu Hause möglich
- Träges Fahrverhalten

Der Verbrenner lebt heute vor allem von der Gewohnheit – ohne sie wäre er in weiten Teilen längst erledigt.
