The conspiracies are getting out of hand. Like Ferrari like Manchester United.
It's clear that Lewis was meant to be a guinea pig. Develop the car, evolve the team/mentality, but be too old to beat the guy with "preferential sporting and technical clauses". Fred's entire gameplan was to help his best friend get a winning team, but he underestimated Lewis.

These drivers were at the time fighting for a championship.
I acknowledge this won’t land well, but: Leclerc’s aggressiveness today is highly reminiscent of Verstappen, Schumacher, Senna, and… Hamilton. 😅

If the goal is to pay homage to the cane village, could this have been done with bamboo? It’ll be such a great way to illustrate the craft.
Julius Berger Plc is doing well on this.🏗 #Construction

Look, I get that people are pissed about this thing—there’s a lot to be mad about. But I was raised by a civil servant, and time and again, I’ve learned that systems collapse gradually, not all at once. Nobody shows up on their first day of work and decides to destroy archives or anything. Quite often, it’s a series of small decisions, small things we let fester here and there. Culture is whatever a system rewards or punishes. But the thing about Nigeria is that while we’re always late to one party (the things we’ve lost are lost), I think it’s important to know we’re also always early to another. So much has been lost, but so much can still be done. And it doesn’t have to be big things; just pick the little things. For example, if someone in your family was a teenager when Nigeria became independent, statistically, they might be dead in a decade or way less. Sit with them and press record; they have so much to say, and so few people willing to listen. Just listen and press record. In whatever language they understand, no matter how little your understanding of it. Keep the family album. Use your phone to photograph them. Keep the tapes. Much of what our civilisation learned about fighting COVID-19 came from what we learned about the Spanish Flu of 1918: a mix of official records documenting death rates, etc., and personal correspondence that captured the experience of living through it. Personal history is family history is national history.

Less than two decades ago, they moved a new Oga to NTA Lagos, and to make room for them, they emptied the tape storage and converted it into an office. Rain beat the tapes to decay.

I find the reactions to HaloBraid interesting. 1. Just like a tailor using an electric sewing machine, a braider using a tool doesn’t strip out your cultural identity. 2. The existing division of labor for braids is that a more skilled person does the roots and an apprentice completes the ends, so the work division makes sense imo. 3. This is v1. Everything we use today has gone through a similar iteration. It’s how we get dishwashers and self-driving cars and mobile phones. Hardware is tough, but I’m excited to see tech innovation around black hair, we deserve cool things too. I wish Yinka all the best, and s/o to @sevensevensix for making the bet.

It’s ugly.
This is the new Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos! 🔥🏟️ The renovation is BEAUTIFUL! 🇳🇬 This will be the second most beautiful stadium in Nigeria after the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. So glad to see Nigerian football getting better! 👏

The headline of this news story is inaccurate and misleading. WHO has not declared Nigeria Ebola‑free. Nigeria currently has no confirmed case of Ebola following the medical evacuation of the index patient to Switzerland. Health officials are closely monitoring 52 contacts who may have been exposed. Under the International Health Regulations, a country can only be declared Ebola‑free after a 42‑day countdown following the last confirmed case testing negative twice for the virus or, in this situation, after the evacuation of the confirmed case. This period is then followed by heightened surveillance. WHO requests that this headline be retracted and corrected. It is an inaccurate interpretation of the X post made by the WHO Regional Director for Africa. @WHOAFRO

Wow
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

Perhaps the most Christian way to tell the story is “someone treated me badly, I learned he was in need, and I chose to do him good.” The Bible says we should bless those who curse us and overcome evil with good. All that “he was just hungry” (which btw is mockery if we’re being honest) is not what we need to show. Also, we have to take our formation seriously. Stories told like this is why our Christian population does not have better ethics than corrupt politicians.
