She does a good job explaining the value of respect in poor and marginalized communities. However I would add, often poor and marginalized people are disrespected by wealthier people and they feel they can’t fight back so they often only react when someone of equal status disrespects them, which at the end of the day creates a lot of internal animosity which is bad for solidarity.
