AI slop isn’t a problem with AI. It’s a problem with how people use it. Poor prompts produce poor results.

Harsh but honest
Let me be blunt. Those who are afraid of AI feel deep down that they are impostors & have no edge. If you have a 1) clear mind, 2) a deep, not just cosmetic, undertanding of your specialty, 3) and/or are original enough to reinvent yourself when needed, AI will be your friend.

Follow this guy. He’s about to spend an entire year without looking at a screen, while tracking his biomarkers and overall health to see what changes.
It feels like removing a dagger from my leg. Headache. Dysphoria. Flatness. Hearing phantom iPhone dings in my sleep. Days 1-3 were more of a rush. I felt light and free. On day 4, the withdrawals began. I've never had to kick something like this before. Screens are a legit addiction. I'm curious to see if the month 6 PET scan shows enhanced metabolism in regions that improve in drug addicts who quit like the thalamus, frontal cortex, and striatum (reward circuit). There are no PET studies of people quitting screens, so Dr. Eber and I are breaking new ground. Image attached is baseline PET (F18 tracer). That's one of a few scans I'm tracking. Day 6/365 Sent from my screenless phone

I got a comment from a guy playing Top Tennis (for free, by the way) complaining that the game isn’t realistic enough. Man, if you want a realistic tennis experience, get out of the house, grab a racket, and go play!

I know AI is stressing a lot of people out, but I’ve never felt more optimistic about the future of humanity. It won’t be easy for everyone. I see the anxiety and tension even within my own family. But if AI worries you, my advice is simple: start using it. Learn what it can do, experiment with it, figure out how it can make your life better. The more you understand it, the less you’ll fear it. We’ve got to embrace the future, not fight it.

Yesterday, a friend of my wife’s was killed in combat in Ukraine. A volunteer who chose to fight for freedom. Ukraine is forging heroes. Russia, mostly mercenaries.

We take life too seriously. Play more, take more risks, go on adventures, have friends over. Enjoy life!

Wrong! What matters is exposure to luck. Try more things, meet more people, put your work out there. Do everything in your power to increase your chances of getting lucky. Whatever you think of @levelsio, he deserves credit for teaching so many people that.

Lots of developers judging your “AI slop” app or video game. Are these the same developers who built my sloppy banking app? Government websites that never work? Airline apps that can’t check you in or let you buy a ticket? Smart TVs that take five seconds to open a menu and crash after every update? Car entertainment systems that take 30 seconds to load? I hear a lot about AI slop, but not enough about human slop. It’s everywhere, we’ve been putting up with it for decades, and I can’t wait for AI to fix it.

Valet parking in Dubai is one of the most misunderstood and mispriced services out there. I just paid 25 AED for two hours of valet parking. I would have paid 150 AED (maybe even more).

Spoke to a friend who used to work at a software house that also developed video games. He said building Top Tennis just two years ago would have cost $200–300k and taken at least a year. So far, we’ve spent around $600 on tokens and about a month of work.

Best decision ever for our brewery was buying this dope truck. It’s doing so much for our brand’s reputation. In a little less than two years, we’ve become one of the most recognized craft beer brands in Milan. Plus, it allows us to participate in tons of events where we sell draught beer at high margins!

Or build loudly in public a SaaS nobody use. 🏆
Work hard in silence. Let success be your noise. 🏆
