The last time Maryland beat a team that finished the season ranked was 2018, when the Terps beat Texas in Week 1. Texas finished 9th Before that? 2010, when Maryland beat NC State, which finished 25th. Maryland has NEVER beaten a Big Ten team that finished the season ranked.

Sources have told Malik Washington Lover that freshman OL Teagan Cox will not play against Virginia Tech, but he is expected to be in uniform. The Lusby, Md. native is a 6-foot-5, 313-pound freshman out of Patuxent High School.

In 1993 Virginia Tech was in year 7 of Frank Beamer. He was 24-40-2 in his first 6 years. The Hokies started 2-1 and finished 9-3. (Ironically they beat Maryland in week 4) Why can’t the Terps do this starting Saturday in year 8 of Locks??
