You deserve this more than anyone Harry. The world’s best footballer - imagine that when you were a young teenager!
Where do I begin? That was an evening I'll never forget. It’s an incredible honour to receive the Ballon d’Or award after a year full of goals, trophies and special milestones. Thank you to all the staff and my teammates at @england and @fcbayern, as well as family, friends and everyone who’s supported me – this wouldn’t be possible without you all. Thank you to everyone who has sent a kind message, social media post - I appreciate every single one of them. This will live long in the memory. 🙌🏆❤️

A young Harry receiving the young player of the year along side Ossie and myself a number of years back. What a player, man and leader he has become with the loveliest family there always to support him. No doubt he will continue to score and make goals in the next few years!

🚨 Heung-min Son on Harry Kane winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or: 🎙️ Interviewer: “Sonny, Harry Kane has won the 2026 Ballon d’Or. You shared some incredible years at Tottenham, building one of the most special partnerships in Premier League history. What does this moment mean to you? Son Heung-min: “Honestly, I became emotional when I saw him lift that trophy. People see Harry Kane, the goalscorer, the superstar, the Ballon d’Or winner. But I see the boy who stood beside me at Tottenham, the teammate who understood my movements without even looking at me, and the friend who made football feel so easy” “We shared so many beautiful moments. The Premier League, the Champions League, the Europa League, the goals, the assists, the celebrations, and the nights when we walked off the pitch disappointed because we wanted to win more. We dreamed together. We fought together. Sometimes, we came so close that it hurt” “And now look at us. Harry is at Bayern Munich, holding the Ballon d’Or, while I am playing in MLS. Football has taken us down different roads, but nothing can change what we shared. I may not have been beside him when he lifted that trophy, but a part of me was celebrating with him” “People used to ask whether we were the best attacking partnership in the Premier League. We never needed to answer those questions. We just played football, trusted each other and enjoyed every moment. When Harry passed me the ball, I knew what he wanted. When I made a run, he knew where I would be. That connection was special, and you cannot buy it with money” “I sent him a message after he won. I told him, ‘Harry, brother, I am so proud of you. Remember those days at Tottenham when we dreamed about nights like this? You did it. You made it. And even though we are playing in different countries now, I am celebrating as if I have won it with you. Please never forget where we started.’ “Then I told him something else: ‘Enjoy this moment, because you deserve to feel proud. And when people talk about your career, I hope they remember that before the individual awards, before Bayern Munich, and before this beautiful moment, you were my partner, my friend, and the brother I shared the pitch with.’ “Some people will never understand what we had at Tottenham. They will look at statistics and trophies. But for me, the most beautiful thing was the trust. Harry never made me feel like I was just another teammate. He made me a better player, and I hope I did the same for him. “I am happy he won the Ballon d’Or, but I am even happier that the world is finally celebrating the man I was lucky enough to call my partner. Congratulations, Harry. From Tottenham to the top of the world, brother. You will always be my number nine.” Interviewer: “Would you say those Tottenham years were the happiest years of your football life? Son Heung-min: “Some of the most special, without question. We didn’t win everything we wanted, and that will always hurt a little. But we gave the fans memories, we gave each other memories, and we built a friendship that football cannot take away. If I could go back and play alongside Harry one more time, I would say yes without thinking twice.”

🚨Ronan Coughlan on his altercation with Max Dowman before his red card during Fleetwood’s victory against Arsenal: 🗣️ Ronan Coughlan: “I get sick when I see young players with so much pride and arrogance, but so little respect for the game. “We are Fleetwood, so what? We play in League Two, so what? It’s football, and we are here to compete too. Our league position doesn’t make us any less of a football club. “I saw him kick out at Neal, and it wasn’t a good one. I went over to check if Neal was okay, only for Max to lash out and say, ‘This is exactly why you are in League Two and we are Premier League champions.’ “I got angry and told him to shut up. Before I knew it, everyone had gathered around us, and the whole thing turned into a massive confrontation. “I accept responsibility for my reaction, and maybe I should have handled it better. But don’t ever think playing for Arsenal gives you the right to look down on us. “These lads work hard, sacrifice a lot and deserve respect just like everybody else. We might not have the money, facilities or superstar names, but we have pride. “And the funniest thing is that they came here as Premier League champions, expecting to beat a League Two side, yet we are the ones celebrating tonight. “Max needs to understand something: your badge might make you famous, but it doesn’t make you better than everybody else. Football has a way of humbling you.”

🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on Harry Kane winning the 2026 Ballon d'Or over Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal: "You know what? For once, I am actually enjoying an awards ceremony because we are finally seeing somebody who actually deserves taking that Ballon d'Or trophy home. No PR stunts, no nonsense publicity games—just pure, unadulterated football. This is what it actually means to put the work in and have the results do the talking. Did Mbappé and Yamal deserve to be in the conversation? Of course, the talent there is obvious. But if we are talking about who genuinely earned to be crowned the best in the world, it is Harry Kane. His standards never slipped, not for a single second. Look at what he has done for club and country this season. He went out, scored seventy-three goals in sixty-five appearances, including sixty-one in fifty-one games for Bayern Munich alone. He didn't just pad his stats; he delivered in the biggest moments, netting fourteen times in the Champions League and twelve more with England, including six at the World Cup to lead his nation to a bronze medal. He led Bayern to the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal. He has been an absolute machine. This is what I appreciate about the game. Hard work, relentless consistency, and leading from the front—not off the pitch, but on it. Harry Kane winning it tonight is football at its absolute truest." #BallonDor

🚨🎙️ Harry Kane on his altercation with Kylian Mbappé after winning the Ballon d’Or. Reporter: We saw you having a moment with Mbappé after the ceremony. What was that about? Harry Kane: Honestly, after receiving my award, everyone was congratulating me, so I thought he was coming to congratulate me too. But instead, he said something I found really unprofessional, and I felt disappointed because Mbappé is someone I respect a lot. I never expected that from him, especially at a moment that was supposed to be about celebrating the achievement. Reporter: What exactly did he say to you? Harry Kane: He looked at me and said, “Congratulations on stealing my award.” I was shocked. I looked at him like, how can you say that to me? I’m not the one who voted for myself. I worked hard throughout the season, and the voters made their decision. I was angry, but I tried to remain professional. Then he said, “You had a great season, but everyone knows I’m the rightful winner of this award.” That’s when I really lost my patience. Honestly, I don’t even know if I said something I shouldn’t have, but I wasn’t going to stand there and let him disrespect me. Reporter: What did you say in response? Harry Kane: I told him to shut up and move on because if there’s anyone who should be disappointed, it’s Lamine Yamal, not him. Lamine had an incredible season, won the most prestigious trophy in international football, and still came to congratulate me with respect. He had every reason to feel disappointed, yet he showed class. So why are you standing here complaining? Are you seriously going to cry because you didn’t win? What made me even angrier was that I genuinely respect Mbappé, but respect has to go both ways. I don’t feel proud of how that moment unfolded because I respect him as a player, but that doesn’t mean I’ll accept being disrespected by him.

The quotes attributed to Harry Kane about an altercation with Kylian Mbappé are fabricated. Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or; Mbappé finished second with only a minor visual interaction reported and no verbal exchange. thenationalnews.com/sport/football… sportbible.com/football/footb… foot-africa.com/en/news/ballon… vietnam.vn/en/xuat-hien-d… irishtimes.com/sport/soccer/2…

Brilliant analysis from a top footballer. Jamal should read this and perhaps he might mature a bit quicker.
🚨 Toni Kroos on Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or ahead of Kylian Mbappe: “I’ve seen some people saying Mbappe was robbed. I don’t agree. Kylian is an exceptional footballer. I know what he can do, and I watched his performance against Barcelona. Scoring twice in a Classico is impressive. But I think people have become confused about what they’re actually arguing. Are we discussing who is the more exciting player to watch? Who is faster? Who can dribble past 3 defenders? Or are we discussing who had the better season? Because those are different conversations. I remember something from my time at Madrid. After one match, we were sitting in the dressing room and one of the younger players was watching highlights on his phone. He showed me a goal and said, ‘Toni, look at this. Incredible player.’ I watched it and said, ‘Yes, very good.’ Then he showed me another clip. And another. Eventually I asked him, ‘Did his team win?’ He said, ‘I don’t know.’ I told him, ‘Then maybe we should find that out before deciding he’s the best player on the pitch.’ He laughed, but I wasn’t really joking. Football has become very focused on moments. A player scores a spectacular goal, everybody shares the video, and suddenly we’re discussing whether he’s the best in the world. But a season isn’t one moment. It’s what you do in February when your team is struggling. It’s how you perform when the opponent knows exactly what you’re going to do. It’s whether your teammates can rely on you every week. That’s why I respect Harry Kane so much. People look at him and see a goalscorer. But watch what he actually does. He comes short to receive the ball. He helps his midfielders. He sees passes that some midfielders don’t see. And then, somehow, he’s still in the penalty area when the chance arrives. I remember playing against Tottenham when Harry was there. Before the match, we discussed his movement, because you couldn’t simply tell your centre-backs to stay close to him. If they followed him, he could create space behind them. If they stayed where they were, he could turn and find somebody running into that space. I remember saying to one of our defenders, ‘Don’t let him make you decide everything for him.’ He looked at me and said, ‘That’s easier to say when you’re not the one marking him.’ He had a point. And Harry has been doing that for years. The difference now is that he’s finally receiving the recognition that should come with that level of consistency. Mbappe can do things Kane cannot do. Of course. But Kane can also do things Mbappe cannot do. And I don’t understand why admitting that has become so difficult. I played with Cristiano Ronaldo. I know what a truly exceptional attacker looks like. But even Cristiano understood that football isn’t decided by how impressive you look in a thirty-second video. You have to produce. Again and again. Harry has done that. And the funny thing is that people are now using Kylian’s two goals against Barcelona to argue about an award that recognises an entire season. It was a brilliant performance. But if you need to explain why somebody deserved the Ballon d’Or, you should be able to discuss more than what he did yesterday. Harry Kane won the award because of what he delivered over the season. Not because he shouted the loudest. Not because he had the most supporters arguing for him online. And certainly not because somebody felt sorry for him after his years at Tottenham. He earned it. You can prefer Mbappe as a footballer. That’s your opinion. But preferring a player doesn’t automatically mean he deserved every award that somebody else won. I think that’s something football supporters should learn to separate. Tonight belongs to Harry Kane. And I don’t think he owes anybody an apology for that.”

Chelsea escaped 3 straight red cards 🟥 for which only yellows 🟨 were shown… - Cole Palmer almost takes Mateus Fernandes’ head off… - Cole Palmer leg-breaking stamp on Conor Gallagher… - Morgan Rogers recklessly kicks out at Conor Gallagher… @prorefofficial at it again…
This was another leg-breaker challenge, this time by Morgan Rogers, that also escaped correct punishment. When you even have Gary Neville saying it was a red card, you know @prorefofficial made a mistake. Spurs games are honestly refereed differently.

Cole Palmer just runs and throws his hip into the face of Mateus Fernandes with full force… literally could have killed him. Yet escapes a sending off. Pathetic from @prorefofficial
This is a clear RED CARD 🟥 offence by Cole Palmer. Runs in and almost takes Mateus Fernandes’ head off! 🤯 But of course @prorefofficial do everything they can to keep 11 Chelsea players on the pitch… 🙄

I went to the shelter planning to adopt a young and easy pet without a difficult past. I did not want something complicated. While looking around, I noticed an adult cat in his kennel. He did not try to get attention like the others. He stayed calm and quiet. Then he picked up an old stuffed bear from the floor and carefully placed it at the front of his cage. The toy was old and torn. The staff member told me he was not playing. He was trying to show that he was special so someone would choose him. The bear was the only thing he had left from his previous home. Later, I realized he was not asking for toys or attention. He just wanted a chance. I decided to adopt him. Today he lives with me happily. He still keeps his old bear, but now he sleeps peacefully, knowing he is safe and loved. 🐾
