Last days in New York then back on sending invites ✌️ (Perfect market conditions to release a collection)
I'm learning about new cities with every Hyperion mint. I've never heard of Llanes before, but it looks absolutely amazing. It's a scenic coastal town and traditional fishing port in northern Spain, nestled between the Cantabrian Sea and the Sierra del Cuera mountains. The oranges and purples blend seamlessly together in this one. Teto has such a good grip on color, especially in a composition that's constantly texturizing, blending, and mixing colors in real time. It's an incredibly challenging thing to pull off, but Teto knocks it out of the park.

Replying to @schmrypto
I don’t subscribe to your implied frame. People have been hurt by bitcoin; is satoshi a “drunk driver”? Of course not. There is significant friction to participate onchain, and to participate in anything that rhynotic has built is an additional opt-in requirement. No one has ever forced anyone to participate in anything that rhynotic has built. It is a choice. We are not children. Participation in crypto comes with the knowledge that there are good outcomes and bad outcomes in any opt-in. It may be fair to say that he has created a number of (definitionally) zero-sum token games. I’d again note that they are opt-in only, and I’d push people to understand that in creating them, he’s created novel mechanics that have been meaningfully adopted by others devs (like using v4 hooks to capture protocol value, decaying launch taxes to prevent snipers and enable fair market pricing, and generally reminding people of the powers of the EVM). He is transparent with what he releases and shares his learnings with everyone. This leadership and inspiration should not be discounted, especially when you consider the broader environment: for years crypto devs were persecuted, chased away by liz and gary. We lost many many builders. We hit a stagnant patch where no innovation was happening and where few dared to try to innovate because it came with substantial risk. Rhynotic forged ahead when most shied away. Is he perfect? No one is. Does he ship and iterate and try to do things well, yes. His relentless approach cannot be appreciated enough.

The green really pops in this one, even with such a muted palette. The way it carries throughout makes for a really powerful composition. The Milky Way is also so clearly visible, which makes this one even more special. It's cool to see cities like Long Island City pop up on the globe for Hyperion because you know the collector intentionally chose that location and it holds some special meaning to them. As we continue to unfold more of Hyperion, check it out for yourself in the link below! We're doing an intentionally slow release so collectors can spend time with the work and get accustomed to the process. The one thing worth chasing is specific seeds and cities. Once they're gone, they're gone forever.

We will win
ct is becoming super vile and it's easy to feel like everyone is out to get you / wants you to fail then you go to things like Marfa, and you're reminded that most people here are awesome, passionate, and rooting for you you can spend hours just reading constant hate tweets on any topic, or even about yourself if you have any sort of following people (and bots) will tweet for engagement the second something goes wrong, and be back in dms and praising you on the timeline after you're back on top. there's a reason many creators/developers have stopped tweeting, it takes a huge mental toll to just stick around it is important to remember that most people don't create anything. most haven't launched an idea. most haven't deployed a smart contract that can hold tons of money and be exploited at any second even if you've checked everything if you stop tweeting they win. if you stop working they win. if you stop innovating they win. we will win.

Thank you teto for sponsoring a mint to Hyperion ☀️🌕 Choosing city/seed was surprisingly easy: Christchurch (Ōtautahi) has a special place in my heart. It was also the gateway to expeditions to Antarctica where humanity pushed its boundaries, just like we continue doing with ⛓️

not commenting much on this (yet), but the fact that I can name all the participants feels v good
Teto has done it again with Hyperion They are inviting you to create attachments to the pieces you mint I chose Breckenridge, Colorado for reasons known only to me. I picked seed #39 because Breck sits at approximately 39.48° north latitude. My grandmother, when I asked her age, would always tell me "39 and holding" DM me if you want an invitation

Mint() as an art form
At any given moment, someone else on Earth is experiencing a different time of day. Each artwork responds to the changing conditions of its location. I love how this creates a unique relationship between time and place, capturing a moment that is constantly changing around the world.

Time for something new, been a while
New work by @tetonotsorry is some of the best on-chain generative art I've seen in a long time.
