Gaza is on the verge of facing another catastrophe. The rain is coming, and hundreds of thousands of families have no shelter to protect them.
Tens of thousands of tents line the seashore, where families have nowhere else to go. Hundreds of thousands of people are living among the ruins of destroyed homes that may not withstand heavy rain.
The tents we live in are torn and worn out. They were designed to provide temporary shelter for a few months, yet we have been living in them for three years. When the rain comes, water will pour into our tents, leaving children and sick people exposed to the cold and flooding, with no protection at all.
Why must we live in such constant fear? Why don't we deserve a normal life, a safe home, and a winter we don't have to dread? Why must our children face this same fate year after year?
Why must the world watch us drown every winter before taking action, instead of intervening now to prevent this catastrophe?
Talk about Gaza. Do not remain silent. We are not asking for the impossible. We are asking for our basic right to live in safety and dignity, without fearing the rain as much as we fear the war.

Gaza, the city of widows and orphans
71,846 children wake up without hearing the word โDad,โ and 64,413 women are left without a support system
Behind these numbers are not merely statistics, but shattered souls, homes that have fallen silent, and stories of pain being written every second under the weight of the ongoing war
๐ป 64,413 women have suddenly found themselves facing life as widows, carrying the burden of loss and the bitterness of displacement alone.
๐ป 71,846 children have been added to the list of orphans. They sleep without a fatherโs embrace to protect them from the cold, sharing pain and fear every single day
These are not just numbers in news bulletins. They are mothers and children fighting to survive in the heart of this tragedy

A worrying rise in cases of bacterial meningitis among children in Gaza, amid reports of four children dying in intensive care units and a worsening health crisis across the Strip
This is compounded by severe shortages of essential medicines and treatments, as well as difficulties in providing specialized medical care amid the collapse of the healthcare system and the lack of medical resources
Children are fighting disease and pain, while families stand helplessly watching their loved ones suffer. In such circumstances, rapid diagnosis and access to immediate treatment can be crucial in saving their lives
In Gaza, children are not only fighting illness; they are also facing harsh healthcare conditions that may deprive them of their chance to survive
Every child deserves treatment, and every life deserves to be saved

We are demanding that flour, vegetables, and food supplies enter Gaza, yet cleaning products, charcoal, and tents are coming in while families go hungry and the threat of famine grows.
Can hand soap feed a hungry child? Can charcoal feed a family with nothing to eat?
Enough of ignoring our suffering! Gaza needs food, not promises. Our children cannot wait any longer.
Write, share, and speak out about what is happening in Gaza. Every day of delay makes this crisis worse. Do not stay silent about our hunger!
Gazaโs markets are full of chips, chocolate, biscuits and soft drinks. Meat, eggs, dairy and fresh vegetables are almost nowhere to be found. That isnโt an accident, Palestinians say. Itโs how the Israeli occupation is engineering famine a year into the ceasefire. Every truck that enters Gaza passes through crossings the occupation controls, and it decides what goes on them. Gazaโs Government Media Office says around 350 essential items are still banned, while snacks, sugary drinks and high-calorie dry goods are waved through.
The Gaza Chamber of Commerce estimates that 95 percent of the goods allowed in are consumer products. Nutritionists warn that chips, instant noodles and soda can dull hunger for a few hours but cannot replace real food, and they are dangerous for young children, pregnant women and the chronically ill, who need protein and vitamins to survive. One Palestinian economist calls it a policy of keeping Gazaโs head just above water: hungry enough to break, fed enough to avoid mass death on camera. Under the ceasefire, Israel promised 600 trucks a day. The real average is around 200, and this week an Israeli official claimed 250 were enough. Now the World Food Programme has cut food aid for half a million people for lack of funding, just as winter arrives, leaving 1.4 million Palestinians, two-thirds of Gaza, facing crisis levels of hunger with shelves stocked with snacks they cannot live on. #EngineeringFamine

Within the next 48 hours, if flour is not allowed into Gaza, all bakeries in the city will stop producing bread.
We are facing an enormous catastrophe. Famine is knocking on our doors once again, and this time, it could be worse than anything we have experienced before.
Please, do not remain silent! Talk about Gaza, make our voices heard around the world, and do everything you can before thousands of people lose access to something as basic as a loaf of bread.

No bread in Gaza today!
These are the first queues for a loaf of bread in Gaza, as several bakeries have shut down, flour has become scarce, and its price has soared.
The emergence of these scenes signals war and death under the banner of a โloaf of bread.โ We are raising our voices so the occupation does not continue pushing starvation further, and so people do not die over a handful of flour.
This is Gaza, facing starvation for the third time.

The markets are completely empty of vegetables and fruit. There is danger ahead.
Please, I urge the world to take this tweet seriously.
A new famine is literally being created in Gaza. Free food distribution has almost completely stopped, major aid organizations have suspended their services, and now the World Food Programme, a key source of flour and canned food for hundreds of thousands of people here, has announced the suspension of its assistance.
For over a week, trucks carrying vegetables, fruit, and frozen food have also been prevented from entering Gaza.
Food supplies are shrinking, everything entering Gaza is being tightly controlled, and food queues are growing frighteningly long.
We are already witnessing the signs of another hunger catastrophe. Families are losing their food sources one by one. Please, don't wait until people are dying of hunger again before you act. The world must act now.

I tell myself every day: Donโt die. Donโt get tired.
Check on the children. Look for water. Check if there are any holes in the tent so the water doesnโt leak in. Then stand up โ donโt die.
Donโt you dare die from some silly illness. Resist. Save your tears for a more painful day. Donโt you dare say, โIโm tired.โ
Look for food. Donโt be afraid of the bombing. Gather your things and flee. Set up a tent. Flee again โ donโt get tired.
Write, and then write, and then write. Write your own death with your own hands โ donโt let anyone write about you.
Live, and donโt die.

The World Food Programme announces the suspension of food assistance to half a million people in Gaza.
October 19, 2026
The World Food Programme (WFP) announced on October 19, 2026, that it would suspend food assistance to approximately half a million people in the Gaza Strip due to a funding shortage.
Acting Executive Director Carl Skau explained that the number of beneficiaries had fallen from 1.6 million to 1.1 million, with food rations cut in half, cash assistance reduced for 75,000 families, and 100,000 daily hot meals discontinued.
The UN official warned that the humanitarian crisis could worsen as winter approaches, urging donors to provide the necessary funding to prevent conditions from deteriorating further.

A statement was issued just moments ago announcing a ban on the entry of commercial goods into Gaza City until further notice.
Meanwhile, late at night, people have begun rushing to the markets, trying to buy whatever food they can for their children out of fear that food supplies will run out and famine will return.
If the ban on commercial goods and food supplies entering Gaza continues, famine will return in an even more severe and devastating form.
Enough playing with our lives. We are human beings, not numbers.

In Gaza, children are not only fighting death and displacement; they are facing an even crueler battle against their own fragile bodies the battle to obtain their most basic human rights: medical treatment and the right not to suffer
Tiny bodies cannot bear this much pain, while mothers are torn apart by anguish as they watch their little ones cry out in pain, helpless and without access to medicine or treatment
Medical care is not a luxury. It is the last lifeline for children who bear no responsibility for this war
Let us be their enduring voice and the heartbeat that exposes this deafening silence

World Central Kitchen in Gaza abruptly terminated the contracts of 250 chefs without any prior notice.
Half of the kitchens providing food to displaced people have been closed, and the number of meals being served has been significantly reduced in recent weeks.
We donโt understand what is happening, or how this aid can be cut back when thousands of people in Gaza still depend on it to survive. What will happen to these people now?

Today, while distributing water in one of Gazaโs displacement camps, I met a little girl who was just four years old.
I jokingly asked her what her dream in life was. She told me she wanted a room full of toys, like the ones she sees in YouTube videos.
I asked her, โWouldnโt you like to have a home of your own and a bedroom where you could sleep?โ She looked at me in astonishment and asked, โWhat is a home?โ Her answer deeply shocked me, and I didnโt know what to say.
These children were born during the war and have grown up in tents. They donโt know what a home is, nor can they imagine that other children sleep in their own beds and play in rooms filled with toys. To them, a tent is home, the sand is where they play, and the toys they see on their phone screens are simply things they dream of owning one day.
There are children in Gaza who have never known what it means to have a normal childhood or enjoyed even their most basic rights. Imagine turning four years old without even knowing what a home is!

Good morning My friends
For a whole week, we havenโt received a single donation๐
I am responsible for supporting my large family, and with winter approaching, we urgently need warm clothes and blankets, along with food, medicine, and clean drinking water
Please, donโt leave us alone in these difficult circumstances. Any donation, no matter how small, can ease our suffering and help us get through the winter. If you cannot donate, sharing my appeal could help it reach someone who can
May God reward you with goodness, and please keep us in your prayers๐ต๐ธ๐ค

Massive conferences, millions of dollars in donations to organizations, and endless talk about rebuilding Gaza and the end of the warโas if life were finally returning to normal.
But here on the ground in Gaza, we are living a completely different reality.
We are still living in tents, the bombardment continues, and securing food and basic necessities remains a daily struggle for survival. Our children sit on the floors of destroyed schools and in tents that have been turned into classrooms, without desks or a safe learning environment worthy of their childhood.
The world talks about reconstruction, while we are still searching for shelter to protect our children from the cold and rain, a meal to ease their hunger, and the most basic necessities of life that we have been deprived of for years.
Sadly, there is an enormous gap between what is said about Gaza in conference halls and what we experience every day on the ground.
The Gaza discussed in conference rooms is not the Gaza we live in. For us, the war has not ended, the suffering has not stopped, and survival remains our daily struggle.
We are still here, surrounded by tents, destruction, and fear. We need more than new promises. We need real change that people can feel in their daily livesโchange that restores even the most basic levels of safety and human dignity.

History will bear witness to one of the most horrific human tragedies and to a genocide committed against an oppressed people in Gaza, with American and Israeli involvement. Its victims included children who knew nothing of life but fear, elderly people who were unable even to protect themselves, and innocent civilians whose only fault was being Palestinian
The truth may be buried, and some may try to distort the narrative, but the blood of the victims will never be erased from the memory of history, and responsibility will never be lifted from anyone who participated in this tragedy, supported it, or remained silent in the face of it
