It appears The White House is using my posts to help advise some of their decisions

Red Sox scout Ray Fagnant recommended BOTH Cam Schlittler and Ben Rice. Boston passed on them. Then they showed up in Yankee uniforms and beat the hell out of us in October. So apparently the scouting worked. It's the part where somebody listens that needs fixing. #redsox #dirtywater

I mentioned Mumbles’ old “Welcome to Logan” greeting yesterday, so I had to piece this little homemade tribute together.

Tonight's Kornacki cam stream was worth it just to hear him say the old rhyme about Lynn. A true Massachusetts native. Lynn, Lynn, city of sin. You never come out the way you went in.

It's 1980 in Austin and you had no idea that Christopher Cross's song "Sailing" was about Lake Travis⛵️ LAKE TRAVIS, TX (@fox7austin)— When you think of the definitive yacht rock anthem, you probably picture the beaches of Malibu or the coast of Maui. But the ultimate masterpiece of the genre—Christopher Cross’s iconic, 5-time Grammy-winning hit "Sailing"—actually traces its roots straight to the choppy waters of Travis County. While Cross was born and raised in San Antonio, graduating from Alamo Heights High School, it wasn’t until he moved his musical ambitions up the road to Austin that the inspiration for his signature 1980 Billboard No. 1 single truly took shape during frequent trips across Lake Travis. Cross has often noted that the classic track wasn’t written about an ocean getaway, but rather the genuine sense of escape he discovered in Travis County as he transitioned into adulthood. Reflecting on the local inspiration behind the legendary song, Cross shared: "It's about an older friend of mine who had a boat... and we would go out on Lake Travis. It was just a transition from being a kid to being an adult... just a very wonderful way to escape the transition of growing up." That peace he found on the lake ultimately became a song universally recognized as the absolute pinnacle of yacht rock. This edited video includes shots of Lake Travis.

45 years ago today, Yale's Ron Darling & St. John's Frank Viola matched up in the greatest college pitching duel ever. Both starters made it through 11 scoreless innings. Darling didn't allow a hit until the 12th inning but St. Johns won 1-0.

The reason every Rangers City Connect sucks and gets underwhelmed fan comments is that there's no history to draw from. DFW is a giant web of newly built subdivisions made for modern families to do capitalism. Uniform should just be a collage of retail/restaurant chain logos.
The new Texas Rangers City Connect uniforms are here 🤩

13 years ago today, April 15, 2013, at 2:49 p.m. ET, two terrorist bombs exploded 14 seconds and 210 yards apart near the Boston Marathon finish line, killing five people and injuring 281, including 17 who lost limbs. Remembering Martin Richard, Lu Lingzi, Krystle Campbell, MIT Police Officer Sean Collier, Boston Police Officer Dennis Simmonds, and all the true heroes of that day.

High schooler throwing 100???? What in the hell???
100 mph from 6-foot-9 LHP Brody Bumila (2026) today. Struck out all six batters he faced in his first two innings with 19 of 20 pitches for strikes in his first start of the year on a beautiful 40 degree day in Massachusetts.
