The Frazier suction tip was named for American neurosurgeon Charles Harrison Frazier (1870-1936). He and William Gibson Spiller worked out an operation to cut the sensory root of the trigeminal nerve to treat tic doloureaux, and Frazier first performed it successfully in 1901!
