An atmospheric river is taking aim at already-soaked Arizona. Flood watches stretch from the Grand Canyon to the Mexican border from Saturday night into early Monday, with 1 to 3 inches of additional rain in many areas and more in the mountains. Friday's storms dumped 2 to 3 inches on parts of the Paradise Valley area in three hours, and Phoenix firefighters rescued six people trapped in vehicles in a wash. Forecasters say the Verde and Little Colorado rivers "may be flooding for days after the event." Turn around, don't drown.
🌊 FLORIDA:
Major saltwater flooding continues in the Upper and Middle Keys under a coastal flood warning until early Sunday, and persistent onshore winds are keeping high tides near moderate flood levels from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach County. The St. Johns River remains in moderate flood near Astor and in eastern Putnam County. Heavy rain Sunday and Monday could add to it: 2 to 3 inches possible around Jacksonville, and 3 to 5 inches where heavy bands set up in South Florida.
❄️ SIERRA NEVADA:
The heaviest snow of the season so far arrives Halloween night. Winter weather advisories run until 7 a.m. Sunday, with up to 10 inches above 7,000 feet in the northern Sierra and up to 18 inches on the highest peaks. Expect ridge gusts up to 50 mph and possible chain controls on I-80, U.S. 50 and Highway 88. Check Caltrans QuickMap or dial 511 before you go. The storm should clear out Sunday.

🌧️ WEST TEXAS: Moisture tied to former Tropical Storm Vance flooded streets across the Permian Basin early Friday. Flash flood warnings covered Midland, Odessa, Big Spring, Lamesa and Snyder after 1 to 2 inches of rain, with up to 1 more inch possible, and Midland closed several low-water crossings. Rain should clear out by late afternoon, and forecasters say Halloween will be pleasant for trick-or-treating. 🎃 Turn around, don't drown.
🌊 NEW MEXICO: The Weather Prediction Center put the Four Corners under a moderate risk of excessive rainfall for Sunday, calling it "a near-repeat of last week's heavy rain event" on still-saturated soils. Flood warnings remained Friday along the Rio Grande near Bernardo and Escondida in Socorro County, after a levee breach and Rio Puerco flooding that killed one woman and forced dozens of evacuations.
🌬️❄️ ALASKA: The remnants of former Typhoon Champi brought high wind warnings to the Anchorage and Eagle River hillsides, with gusts of 60 to 75 mph forecast. A gust of about 71 mph hit Fort Greely early Friday, up to 15 inches of snow was forecast along the Parks Highway through Broad Pass and at Thompson Pass, and Seward was under a flood advisory for 3 to 4 inches of rain.

☔ ARIZONA: Two rounds of heavy rain in three days starting Friday. Flood watches cover metro Phoenix, rural Maricopa County, western Pinal County and parts of Gila and Yavapai counties. An atmospheric river follows Saturday night into Sunday, with 1 to 1.5 inches in Phoenix and 2 to 3 inches over higher terrain, falling on ground still soaked from last week's flooding.
🌊 FLORIDA KEYS: King tides are pushing major saltwater flooding into low-lying streets. A coastal flood warning covers the entire island chain until 5 a.m. EDT Friday. The Key West tide gauge peaked about 2.4 feet above the average daily high tide late Wednesday. Avoid driving through saltwater.
🌀 NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS: Category 4 Typhoon In-fa (140 mph winds) could pass close to or over Agrihan Friday evening. A typhoon warning covers Alamagan, Pagan and Agrihan.
